The apparatus comprises a frame, a glue application device, a module height measuring device and a glue amount control device. The glue application device is installed on the frame. The module height measuring device is used for measuring height differences between a plurality of battery cells in the battery module. The glue amount control device is coupled to both the module height measuring device and the glue application device. The glue amount control device is arranged to control the amount of glue applied by the glue application device to the plurality of battery cells according to the height differences determined by the module height measuring device.
