At least one interface is mounted on a bottom surface of the receiving groove. The first elastic element provides a force for driving a portion of the protecting cover away from the main body. The second elastic element provides a force for driving the connecting rod to move in the direction of pressing the connecting rod.

The latch base can be securely attached to the housing member. The latch member is mounted on the latch base and movable relative to the latch base to latch the cover member to the housing member. The return member is compressed when the cover member is latched to the housing member. The cover can be detached from the housing either by a movement of the latch member driven by the return member or by another movement further compressing the return member.

A aperture (226) is defined in the bottom surface of the receiving groove (222), and the main body (20) have a button slot (242) defined therein. The cover (12) has a guiding pole (124) protruding therefrom, the guiding pole (124) have a securing portion (126) formed thereon, and the guiding pole (124) inserts into the main body (20) from the aperture (226). The connecting rod (142) has a stopping portion (1426) protruding from one end thereof, and the other end thereof extending from the button slot (242).

    Abstract: A pivot switch mechanism (200) mounted on a shell (20) of an electronic device (300) includes a fixing portion (30) and an operating portion (40). The fixing portion (30) is mounted on the shell (20) and is connected with the operating portion (40) in a spring-biased manner. The fixing portion (30) defines a receiving hole (32) and two receiving grooves (28). The operating portion (40) includes two resisting columns (48) and at least one pivotal shaft (424). The operating portion (40) is located in the receiving hole (32). The at least one pivotal shaft (424) is received in the receiving grooves (28). When the operating portion (40) is pressed, the operating portion (40) rotates/pivots relative to the receiving grooves (28) via the at least one pivotal shaft (424). When the pressure on the operating portion (40) is released, the operating portion (40) returns to its original position.
