  • Patent number: 11879407
Abstract: A throttle control system for a vehicle includes a controller comprising at least one processor and at least one non-transitory computer-readable medium, a throttle valve movable between valve positions, an input sensor to transmit a target position, and a position sensor configured to detect an instantaneous disposition of the throttle valve at one of the valve positions. The controller executes instructions stored in the at least one non-transitory computer-readable medium. The controller receives the target position signal and the detected position signal. The processor compares the target position signal and the detected position signal to the instructions, selects an output signal, and transmits the output signal to the throttle valve. A first fuzzy control acceleration, a brake deceleration, and a second fuzzy control acceleration based on the output signal are applied to move of the throttle valve toward the target position.

  • Patent number: 11046196
Abstract: A charge port covering assembly includes, among other things, doors moveable between a covering position where the doors block access to a charge port, and an accessing position where the doors permit access to the charge port. A door release assembly includes a portion that tilts in response to movement of a charger toward an engaged position with the charge port to permit movement of the doors to the accessing position. A charge port covering method includes, among other things, blocking access to a charge port using a doors in a covering position, and tilting a portion of a door release assembly with a charger. The tilting permits a transitioning of the doors from the covering position to an accessing position where the charger can couple with the charge port.

  • Patent number: 10836248
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for nozzle guides for vehicle refueling adapters. In one example, a nozzle guide includes a plurality of protrusions adapted to center a fuel nozzle within the nozzle guide and to reduce a likelihood of over-insertion of the fuel nozzle into the nozzle guide. The nozzle guide may include features such as a rear guard and upper wall adapted to reduce ingression of liquid fuel with fuel vapor flowing from the fuel tank.

  • Patent number: 10807465
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for a non-linear spring mechanism coupled to a cover element. As an example, a system may comprise: a bar linkage mechanism having a first spring arm coupled to a second pivotable spring arm via a living spring hinge, the second pivotable spring arm having a lower or an equivalent stiffness compared to the first spring arm; an element coupled to at least one of the arms of the bar linkage mechanism. In one example, the element may be a cover cap, swing door or a sliding door. In this way, the linkage mechanism may allow the element to open with ease while providing improved performance in corrosive environments.
