Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for providing a fatal error of a system-on-chip product and a method for identifying a fatal error of a system-on-chip product. The system-on-chip product includes a processor. The method for providing a fatal error of a system-on-chip product includes: when a fatal error occurs, setting a port value of a preset port of the processor as a preset value corresponding to the fatal error; converting the preset value into register data accessible to an external server, such that the external server can identify the fatal error that occurs in the system-on-chip product according to the preset value when acquiring the register data. Through the present disclosure, even if the system-on-chip product does not support a baseboard management controller, the user of the baseboard can still obtain the reason for the error of the product through an out-of-band method.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for recording error information of a basic input output system based on general purpose non volatile (GPNV), which is applied to a basic input output system. The method includes the following: obtaining error information and a type of the error information when an error occurs in a system; recording the error information in a GPNV storage space of the basic input output system; setting a value of a serial general-purpose input/output port according to the type of the error information. The method, system and terminal for recording error information of a basic input output system based on GPNV according to the present disclosure record the BIOS error information through GPNV in the BIOS ROM, ensuring the reliable recording of error information and helping to accurately determine the cause of the error.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method, system and device for modifying an option of a basic input output system, which is applied to a basic input output system. The method includes the following: when starting up, reading the setting value of each option of the basic input output system from a baseboard management controller; comparing the current value of each option in the basic input output system with the corresponding setting value, when the current value is different from the setting value, modifying the current value to the setting value. In the method, system and device for modifying an option of a basic input output system provided by the present disclosure, the options of the basic input output system are saved and modified through a baseboard management controller, which ensures safe and effective settings of the basic input output system options.
