  • Patent number: 11700586
Abstract: A resynchronization signal (RSS) may extend across multiple physical resource blocks (PRBs) or subframes, which may cause the RRS to be scheduled to overlap with other downlink transmissions. Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for management of RSS and one or more other transmission types that may have overlapping wireless resources with the RSS. If one or more other downlink transmissions are scheduled for resources that overlap with resources scheduled for an RSS transmission, the UE may receive the RSS transmission or the one or more other downlink transmissions, or a combination thereof, based on a prioritization of the transmission types of the one or more other downlink transmissions relative to RSS. The RSS transmission or the one or more other transmissions may be delayed, dropped, punctured, or rate-matched when the RSS transmission and the one or more other downlink transmissions conflict.

  • Publication number: 20230217428
Abstract: A wireless communication device can flexibly change subcarrier spacing (SCS) and/or cyclic prefix (CP) in wireless communication. The wireless communication device can transmit, in a first sidelink resource of a sidelink resource pool, a first sidelink transmission using a first configuration of suhcarrier spacing (SCS) and cyclic prefix (CP). The wireless communication device can further transmit, in a second sidelink resource of the sidelink resource pool., a second sidelink transmission using a second configuration of SCS and CP, the second configuration being different from the first configuration in terms of at least one of an SCS or a CP. The techniques allow more efficient switching between SCS and CP configurations withing a resource pool, in the same bandwidth part.

  • Patent number: 11677488
Abstract: User equipment associated with a legacy network may utilize a bottom-to-top search technique to identify relevant control channel samples. Generating a control channel that is configured for the bottom-to-top search technique may lead to poor performance in a single-carrier waveform, which may be disadvantageous as networks move toward New Radio. In some aspects, described herein, a base station generates a control channel that is configured to minimize gaps in the control channel, and a user equipment performs a top-to-bottom search technique to identify relevant control channel samples. By using the top-to-bottom search technique, degradation of single-carrier waveforms is reduced and efficiency is improved.

  • Patent number: 11677509
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which a physical layer at a user equipment (UE) or a base station may generate feedback for one or more communications that are attempted to be received from a transmitting device. The physical layer feedback may be communicated to the transmitting device in higher layer communications, such as in a medium access control (MAC) layer control element (CE), where the MAC layer is a higher layer than the physical layer in a multi-layer protocol stack of the UE and base station. The physical layer feedback may be communicated after being triggered by one or more conditions at the UE or base station.

  • Patent number: 11671932
Abstract: Various aspects relate to adjusting communication timing in response to a switch from one feeder link to another feeder link in a non-terrestrial network. For example, when a satellite moves out of the coverage area of a first ground network entity (or if the first ground network entity is turned off), the satellite switches to a second ground network entity. The resulting switch from a first feeder link for the first ground network entity to a second feeder link for the second ground network entity may cause a timing glitch that adversely affects the UEs under the coverage of the satellite. The disclosure relates in some aspects to sending an indication of the switch and/or a common timing adjust command to all of the UEs affected by the feeder link switch.
