    Abstract: A method for playing audio out of a video file includes the following steps. Open a video file stored in a storage unit. Decode the opened video file. Separate the video file into video data and audio data wherein the audio data comprises a plurality of pieces of music data. A starting position and an ending position of each piece of music data is established and recorded by reference to the spectral characteristics. All indexed passages of music data are then playable according to the recorded starting and ending positions. An electronic device using the same is also provided.

The method includes: transcribing sound signals of each of the audio files which are supposed to be supported by the audio player device as a sound file; determining the ID code of each of the sound files; and determining whether the ID code of each of the sound files has been listed on a predetermined audio format table by comparing the ID code of each of the sound files with the ID codes listed on the audio format table, thus to determine which of audio formats listed on the audio format table is supported by the audio player device according to the relationships of the ID codes and the audio formats recorded by the audio format table. A test device applying the method to testing audio player devices is also provided.

    Abstract: An LED illuminating device comprises a housing with a base plate, a prism sheet and a circuit board. The prism sheet is mounted in the housing and comprises a number of V-shaped micro-grooves formed thereon along two directions intersecting with each other. A plurality of LED units are arranged in groups on the circuit board. Each LED illuminating group comprises three LED units. Each of the LED units emits light of a color different from those of the other two LED units. Four virtual mixed light sources are formed by the reflection of the prism sheet to the circuit board when the light emitted by a particular LED unit mixes with light emitted by adjacent LED units on the circuit board. Each of the virtual mixed light sources forms a desired color different from the colors of the light emitted from the LED units.
