  • Publication number: 20240182726
Abstract: A coating solution that is sprayable and reflective across the UV, visible, and near-infrared wavelength ranges is described herein. Potassium bromide is used as a binder to integrate microscale ceramic bubbles. The spray coating not only provides high reflectivity all across the solar wavelengths, but also a high mid-infrared emissivity for effective surface cooling in ambient environments. Tests with concrete samples show that the spray coating allowed for significantly more cooling compared to commercially available white paints and even sub-ambient cooling under sunlight.

  • Patent number: 11166215
Abstract: This disclosure relates to techniques for a wireless device to detect and operate in an elevator or elevator-like conditions. The wireless device may establish a cellular link with a cellular base station. One or more conditions associated with being in an elevator may be detected. The wireless device may determine to operate in an elevator mode based at least in part on detecting the one or more conditions associated with being in an elevator. The wireless device may operate in the elevator mode. One or more conditions associated with exiting an elevator may be detected. The wireless device may determine to operate in a normal mode based at least in part on detecting the one or more conditions associated with exiting an elevator. The wireless device may operate in the normal mode.

  • Patent number: 9521598
Abstract: Transitioning a UE from a first RAT to a third RAT in an area having a first RAT, a second RAT, and a third RAT. The first RAT may be a second generation RAT, the second RAT may be a third generation RAT, and the third RAT may be a fourth generation RAT. The network of the first RAT may not provide information (e.g., a neighbor list) for the third RAT. The UE may use information to perform measurement of one or more base stations of the third RAT without attaching to the second RAT. For example, the UE may use pre-stored information to perform measurement of the third RAT. Alternatively, or additionally, the UE may receive the information (e.g., from a system information block) from the second RAT without attaching to the second RAT. The UE may then transition to from the first RAT to the third RAT.

  • Publication number: 20140041035
Abstract: The invention relates to method and system for file scanning The method includes performing specified scanning on files of terminal equipment to determine suspicious files infected by viruses; repairing the suspicious files infected by the viruses and recording repair actions; and checking the recorded repair actions after the specified scanning is finished. The system includes a scanning module, a repairing module, and a checking module. According to the invention, repair actions performed during the repair procedure are recorded when suspicious files infected by viruses are repaired, and these recorded repair actions are checked after the repairs are finished so as to confirm the repair effect and reinforce the repair, thereby preventing suspicious files infected by various viruses from damaging and infecting the system.

  • Publication number: 20130084033
Abstract: An electrically insulating bearing ring, in particular of a roller bearing, including a base body (2) and an electrically insulating layer (3) which is secured to the base body (2). The problem of providing an electrically insulating bearing ring, in particular of a roller bearing, with only a small layer thickness of the electrically insulating layer, is achieved according to the invention in that the electrically insulating layer (3) includes a polyamide, that the electrically insulating layer (3) has a thickness of approximately 20 microns to approximately 200 microns and that the electrically insulating layer (3) is securely arranged on the base body (2) by an intermediate layer (9).
