Abstract: A traffic generating switch (1) has alternative operating modes, namely switching mode and traffic generation mode. The switch includes software modules (10), hardware modules (20), a buffer (30), and a plurality of communication ports (40). The software modules include a switch control module (12), a traffic generator control module (14), and a common platform (16). The switch control module is capable of receiving and forwarding packets, and the traffic generator control module is capable of generating instructions for traffic generation. The hardware modules include a forwarding device (22), a traffic generation device (24), and a media access controlling device (26). When the switch works under traffic generation mode, the traffic generator control module generates instructions for traffic generation according to parameters set by users.

Abstract: A method for dialing an Internet protocol phone via a GPRS network is disclosed. First, a calling side unit issues a request signal for communication to a receiving side unit, wherein the request signal for communication includes a calling side IP address and a calling side communication port. Then, the receiving side user receives the request signal for communication and sends back a responding user datagram protocol (UDP) packet to the calling side unit, according to the calling side communication port, in which the responded UDP packet includes the calling side IP address of the calling side unit. Next, the calling side unit receives the UDP packet from the calling side IP communication port, and begins to transmit and receive the UDP packet carrying the voice digital data with the receiving side unit, so as to perform the communication via the Internet protocol phone. The present invention allows the user to easily dial the Internet protocol phone with a reduction of the communication cost.

Abstract: The invention is to provide a method for utilizing electronic book readers to access multiple-ending electronic books, the said method consisting of disposing a plurality of endings and a minimum of one selectable page in the said electronic books, with each said selectable page having a quantity of hyperlinks, the said hyperlinks providing links respectively assigned to pages in the said electronic book such that when an electronic book is accessing a said electronic book, different hyperlinks being selected on the said selectable page are read to display the content of the said electronic book through the said hyperlinks corresponding to the assigned pages.

Abstract: A clutch/bearing assembly includes an outer ring having an inner circumference which is formed with an annular groove and a plurality of juxtaposed inclined ramps. The assembly also include an inner ring having an outer circumference which is formed with an annular groove and a juxtaposed flat. An annular frame formed with a plurality of grips is positioned between the inner and outer rings to hold a plurality of ball bearings in the grooves for rotation of the inner ring relative to the outer ring. Also, an annular casing is positioned between the inner and outer rings to hold a plurality of roller bearings between the flat of the inner ring and a respective inclined ramp on the outer ring. Specifically, the casing allows each roller bearing to separate from its respective inclined ramp and thereby permit a unidirectional rotation of the inner ring relative to the outer ring.
