  • Patent number: 8837310
Abstract: The invention provides a method and a system for determining an end time of uplink back propagation in a mobile communication system to solve a problem of accurately judging the end time of uplink back propagation, wherein the method includes the following steps: sending data with consecutive sequence numbers in a buffer of a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) module to a serving gateway (S-GW) via an S1 tunnel; sending data with inconsecutive sequence numbers, which is from data with a first inconsecutive sequence number to last data in the buffer of the PDCP module, to a target base station via an uplink back propagation tunnel; generating an end marker datagram; sending the end marker datagram to the target base station via the uplink back propagation tunnel; and receiving, by the target base station, the end marker datagram and determining that the uplink back propagation has ended.

  • Patent number: 8730996
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method and device for reestablishment at packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer. On the receiving side of the PDCP layer, the method comprises: clearing resident control messages (501); processing resident service messages, and clearing feedback information generated during processing (502); and resetting a decompressor, and updating configuration of a decryption module (503). On the transmitting side of the PDCP layer, the method comprises: resetting a compressor, and updating configuration of an encryption module; clearing the resident control messages; and reprocessing the resident service messages. With the differentiated processing for the resident messages at the PDCP layer during the reestablishment, the present invention can avoid the abnormal mode switching of the compressor, and accelerate the user plane restoration after the reestablishment.

  • Patent number: 7180638
Abstract: A network fax machine for faxing files received from a remote client includes a server unit and a fax control unit. The server unit sends a fax document form to a remote client and receives fax information from the remote client. The fax information includes an identifier corresponding to a destination fax machine and a file to be faxed to the destination fax machine. The fax control unit is configured to use the identifier to connect the network fax machine to the destination fax machine and configured to send the file to the destination fax machine by facsimile communication.

  • Patent number: 7068384
Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product for transmission of facsimiles via the Internet. An Internet fax driver is installed on a computer to send a document converted to an image using an electronic mail message over the Internet to an Internet fax machine. The electronic mail message, or fax request, can be either to Print a Document which is printed at the Internet fax machine or to Fax a Document which is sent from the Internet fax machine to a destination G3 fax machine designated by the user. Exemplary embodiments of the Internet fax driver include a driver which automatically converts a document to an image and a driver that allows the user to select a document already an image to send.

  • Patent number: 6710893
Abstract: An automated system and method for testing a facsimile machine using an additional port on the facsimile machine for communication with a computer which controls the testing. The system includes a user interface with a plurality of commands which a user can select for testing the facsimile machine. The present invention inputs, from the user, a testing sequence which includes the commands for testing the facsimile machine and transmits the commands for testing the facsimile machine from the computer to the facsimile machine through the additional port. The facsimile machine executes the transmitted commands to perform requested testing, collects testing conditions and test results, and communicates the testing conditions and test results to the computer through the port. The computer then logs the testing conditions and test results, and communicates the results to the user.
