Abstract: A method of making detergent granules, wherein the detergent granules comprise: (i) an alkyl sulfate (AS) having a branched or linear unalkoxylated alkyl group comprising from 6 to 18 carbon atoms; (ii) an amphoteric surfactant; and (iii) a water-soluble inorganic salt, wherein the method comprises the steps in sequence: a) preheating the AS paste at 50˜80° C., and then b) adding the water-soluble inorganic salt into the AS paste with agitation at 50˜80° C. to form a mixture, and then c) adding the amphoteric surfactant into the mixture at 50˜80° C. to form a mixed paste, and then d) drying the mixed paste to form the detergent granules.

Abstract: A packaged laundry detergent product including a particulate laundry detergent composition in a flexible package. Such particulate laundry detergent composition includes a plurality of detergent granules that are characterized by a FloDex Value ranging from 10 mm to 20 mm, and each of the detergent granules includes from 5% to 40% of fatty acids and/or salts thereof. The flexible package includes a rigid spout that is characterized by a diameter ranging from 20 mm to 30 mm.
