  • Patent number: 11063443
Abstract: A resonance-type contactless power supply has the characteristic that an inductor current has a maximum value when it operates at a resonance frequency. Sampling values of the inductor current in two successive cycles are compared with each other. A frequency of an inverter circuit is adjusted in a manner the same as that in a previous cycle in a case that the inductor current increases, and is adjusted in a manner opposite to that in the previous cycle in a case that the inductor current decreases. Thus, the resonance-type contactless power supply can be properly tuned without the need for zero-crossing detection.

  • Patent number: 7532474
Abstract: An electronic device includes a housing configured to enclose an electronic component mounted to an inner portion of the housing. A thermally conductive gap-filler is in thermal contact with the electronic component. A heat sink is in thermal contact with the thermally conductive gap-filler and a thermally conductive plate is in thermal contact, at a first side, with the heat sink through an opening in the housing, and affixed, at the first side, to an outer portion of the housing surrounding the opening.

  • Publication number: 20080273040
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for efficiently selectively updating multiple-region flexible displays. In an embodiment, multiple regions of a display material each have a common conductor along a first surface and a patterned set of conductors along a second surface. A control circuit includes a separate conductive trace to each common conductor, such that the control circuit can selectively apply known voltages to the common conductors, as well as a single set of driver lines to all of the patterned sets of conductors, such that any sets of signals sent to any of the patterned sets of conductors are received by all of the patterned sets of conductors. The control circuit is used to selectively apply electric fields between the common conductor and the patterned set of conductors of a subset of the regions, so as to selectively update an appearance of the subset of the regions.

  • Patent number: 7130421
Abstract: A telephone unit has a housing with a stand pivot mount on a bottom side and with an interaction surface at a top side. A single piece stand is provided with a first end connected to the housing via the pivot mount to allow pivoting relative to the housing about the pivot mount through a range of angular positions. The stand also has a second end with surface engagement areas for engagement with a support surface. A latch arrangement is provided for setting the stand in an angular position relative to the housing to set an angular position of the interaction surface relative to the support surface. The latch arrangement is provided as a resilient engagement member at the stand with an engagement surface and a fixing surface at the housing. The resilient engagement member has an engagement surface normal position and is flexible to move the engagement surface out of the normal position.
