  • Publication number: 20240139742
Abstract: The planetary outbreak of COVID-19 has led to a substantial death toll and has hindered the functioning of modern society. This underlines the importance of accurate, cost-effective serological antibody tests and point-of-care diagnostics to monitor the viral spread and to contain pandemics and endemics. This requires a cost-effective three-dimensional nanofluidic device for rapid and multiplexed detection of viral antibodies. The device is configured to size-dependently immobilize particles at predefined positions from a multiparticle mixture, giving rise to distinct trapping lines. It is shown with the device that distinctive lines can be used as an on-chip and on-bead fluorescent linked immunosorbent assay for the detection of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies against the receptor-binding domain of SARS-CoV-2 in human serum.

  • Patent number: 11290494
Abstract: Methods and systems for reliability prediction of security policies in a cloud computing environment are provided. An example method includes providing a graph database representing workloads of the cloud computing environment as nodes and relationships between the workloads as edges, the relationships being associated with points in time, receiving a security policy including rules for the relationships between the workloads, generating a plurality of earliest points in time based on the rules and the graph database, wherein generating the plurality of earliest points in time includes: determining, for each rule of the rules, a subset of the relationships in the graph database such that each of the subset of the relationships matches the rule, and selecting an earliest point in time from points in time associated with relationships from the subset, and analyzing the plurality of earliest points in time to determine a reliability score for the security policy.

  • Publication number: 20220007682
Abstract: A method for preparing IPP- and VPP-rich hydrolysate from wheat gluten protein by enzymatic hydrolysis is disclosed, comprising the following steps: (1) dissolving wheat gluten protein in an alkaline solution, and performing ultrasonic treatment; (2) adding the alkaline protease to the wheat gluten protein solution to hydrolyze; (3) adjusting the pH value of the alkaline hydrolysate to neutral or weakly acidic, and adding protease to hydrolyze, and inactivating the enzyme at a high temperature; (4) centrifuging the hydrolysate to obtain the supernatant, and ultrafiltrating with an ultrafiltration membrane; (5) decolorizing and debitterizing the permeate using a macroporous resin; (6) after the debittered and decolorized liquid is adsorbed by an ion exchange resin, eluting the ion exchange resin and drying, to obtain a powder of IPP- and VPP-rich hydrolysate. The preparation method has a high protein recovery rate, with rich IPP and VPP in the hydrolysate.

  • Publication number: 20200065553
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a remote sensing system which comprises at least a plurality of UAVs or drones to construct a measurement matrix in space for compressed sensing algorithms. A single remote sensor or a plural remote sensors is carried by each of UAV or drone in the fleet and can be independently turned on or turned off. Each UAV or drone in the fleet works as a floating pixel in said sparse measurement matrix, to output sampling data for processing and reconstruction of sensing image by said compressed sensing algorithm.

  • Publication number: 20190181797
Abstract: The present invention provides a smart power supply system including an open storage chamber, a rail, and photovoltaic umbrellas each including a plurality of photovoltaic umbrella panels. The photovoltaic umbrellas may be stored in the storage chamber; the storage chamber is connected to the rail via an opening. When in use, the photovoltaic umbrellas are moved upward from the storage chamber to the rail, then photovoltaic umbrella panels of the photovoltaic umbrellas are expanded. During storage, the photovoltaic umbrella panels of the photovoltaic umbrellas are collapsed, then the photovoltaic umbrellas move downwards along the rail and are then stored in the storage chamber. In the present invention, when use of the photovoltaic umbrellas is required, the photovoltaic umbrellas are expanded outdoor; under certain circumstances such as raining and typhoon, the photovoltaic umbrellas are stored indoor to prevent damages caused to the photovoltaic umbrellas.

  • Patent number: 7097315
Abstract: A method, apparatus and system for polarization conversion and recycling by using a half-pyramid shaped reflector with multiple reflective surfaces, or said reflector assembly, to obtain a desirable polarization rotation effect. The disclosed half-pyramid reflector comprises a plurality of reflective surfaces, which are formed so that an incoming beam passing perpendicularly through the entrant surface is reflected three times inside the device and leaves the exit surface with the direction of polarization being rotated 90 degrees. The preferred embodiments of polarization:conversion systems using the invented apparatus are included. Without employing any waveplate component, the disclosed system is not sensitive to wavelength variations of the light source, temperature changes, and polarization alignment errors.
