The module includes a glass body of pentagon shape having five side surfaces including an upper side surface, a left side and a right side surface next to the upper side surface, a lower side surface next to the left side surface, and a 5th side surface next to and between the lower side surface and the right side surface. The glass body is adapted to, upon incident of a first optical signal at the left side surface, cause the first optical signal to propagate toward and exit the glass body at the right side surface and, upon incident of a second optical signal at the right side surface, cause the second optical signal to reflect back at the left side surface; reflect back at the 5th side surface; and finally exit the glass body at the upper side surface.

    Abstract: Techniques for implementing a non-relational database that makes efficient use of collections within the database. For one or more collections, two or more sub-collections can be created for storing documents. Each collection can be configured as a single partition entity or a partitioned entity within the database. Each sub-collection is identified by a sub-collection identifier. If the collection is configured as a partitioned entity, then a partition key can be determined for documents to be accessed in the collection. The partition key can be extended with the sub-collection ID to form a compound property (sub-collection ID, partition key) that determines placements of the respective documents in the identified sub-collection across partitions of the collection. If the collection is configured as a single partition entity, then a field for the partition key is ignored and the respective documents are placed in the identified sub-collection within the single partition of the collection.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a micro-electro-mechanical system silicon on insulator (MEMS SOI) pressure sensor and a method for preparing the same. The pressure sensor includes a bulk silicon layer, a buried oxide layer, a substrate, a varistor, a passivation layer, and an electrode layer. The varistor is obtained by means of photolithography and ion implantation on a device layer of an SOI wafer. The passivation layer is SiO2 formed by means of annealing treatment on the SOI wafer. An annealing atmosphere is one of pure O2, a gas mixture of O2/H2O, a gas mixture of O2/NO, a gas mixture of O2/HCl, and a gas mixture of O2/CHF3. By means of the annealing treatment, the damage to a surface of the buried oxide layer as a result of over-etching during formation of the varistor by means of photolithography is eliminated and the unstability of the sensor caused by body and interface defects of the passivation layer and trapped charges thereof is resolved.

The electrode layer is located on the upper surface of the first passivation layer and is connected with the varistor via the through hole. The second passivation layer is located on the upper surface of the electrode layer.
