  • Publication number: 20130195119
Abstract: A sink device in a Wireless Display (WD) system may send performance information feedback to a source device to adjust media data processing at the source device. The performance information feedback may include performance indicators of the WD system that are capable of being measured or calculated at the sink device based on received media data or request to adjust the transmission of media data. For example, the performance information feedback may include one or more of round trip delay, delay jitter, packet loss ratio, error distribution, and received signal strength indication (RSSI). The feedback channel may be piggybacked on a reverse channel architecture referred to as the User Input Back Channel (UIBC) implemented between the source device and the sink device.

  • Publication number: 20130183525
Abstract: The present disclosure provides polyimide fibers with kidney-shaped cross-section and their preparation methods thereof, falling within the technical field of polyimide fiber. Polyimide fibers with kidney-shaped cross-sections are prepared by a continuous, integrated approach, starting from a polyamic acid solution prepared by reacting an aromatic dianhydride with an aromatic diamine. PAA nascent fibers with kidney-shaped cross-sections are obtained by adopting a spinneret having circular orifices under wet spinning process. The kidney-shaped cross-sections are obtained by varying the processing condition, including spinning speed, coagulation bath composition, coagulation temperature, and depth of coagulation bath. After washing and drying, polyamic acid nascent fibers are converted to polyimide fibers with kidney-shaped cross-sections under thermal curing. The integrated preparation methods are suitable for mass industrial production.

  • Publication number: 20130139210
Abstract: This disclosure relates to techniques to establish a multicast communication session between a source device and multiple sink devices in a Wireless Display (WD) system. Two or more sink devices may be interested in receiving the same media data from the source device. According to the techniques, the source device establishes a multicast session with the sink devices in the WD system, and sends a single copy of multicast media data for the multicast session to the interested sink devices using a receiving multicast port. The source device selects a receiving multicast port number as a destination identifier for each multicast session. The sink devices interested in receiving the media data of a given multicast session bind on the receiving multicast port for the multicast session. This disclosure describes several exemplary multicast subscription procedures to ensure correct binding on the receiving multicast port at each of the sink devices.

  • Publication number: 20130105706
Abstract: A double tilt sample holder for in-situ measuring mechanical and electrical properties of microstructures in transmission electron microscope (TEM) is provided. The sample holder includes a home-made hollow sample holder body, a sensor for measuring mechanical/electrical properties, a pressing piece, a sample holder head, a sensor carrier. The sensor for measuring mechanical/electrical properties is fixed on the sensor carrier on the sample holder head by the pressing piece, while the sensor carrier is connected to the sample holder head through a pair of supporting shafts located on sides of the sample holder head. The sensor carrier can tilt within the plane perpendicular to the ample holder head by revolving around the supporting shafts (i.e. tilting along Y axis at an angle of ±30°). The sample holder also allows obtaining mechanical/electrical parameters concurrently.

  • Patent number: 8433972
Abstract: Construction of base matrices for quasi-cyclic (QC)-low density parity-check codes (LDPC) using two novel metrics are described. Design constraints based on a local girth and a local minimum approximate cycle extrinsic message degree (ACE) of variable nodes in the base matrix are employed. In particular, various local girth and local minimum ACE constraints can be set for different lift sizes. Additionally, the base matrix can be configured as a universal base matrix from which different base matrices having different corresponding lift sizes that comply with the design constraints can be obtained and used to generate QC-LDPC codes.
