  • Publication number: 20140314593
Abstract: A pump includes a drive assembly having a drive shaft rotatable about a drive axis, and an eccentric coupled to the drive shaft for rotation therewith. The eccentric includes a shaft portion defining an eccentric axis that is offset from the drive axis. The shaft portion includes a shaft end defining a first alignment feature. A piston is rotatably coupled to the shaft portion and defines a second alignment feature. A cylinder reciprocatingly receives the piston. Positioning the first alignment feature in a predetermined orientation with respect to the second alignment feature locates the piston in one of a top-dead-center position and a bottom-dead-center position with respect to the cylinder.

  • Publication number: 20080159374
Abstract: An equalizer consistent with certain embodiments has a differential analog tapped delay line made of a plurality of N series connected analog delay cells. Each cell has a pair of differential inputs and a pair of differential outputs. The delay line receives an input signal to be equalized. The differential input pair of the nth cell is connected to the differential output pair of the (n?1)th cell such that current is mirrored from the output pair to the input pair to form N?1 differential taps. Each one of N?1 differential input multiplying digital to analog converters (MDAC) is connected at its differential input at each differential tap, with each MDAC multiplying an analog signal at its input by a digital weighting factor to produce an output at a differential output. A differential slicer receives a sum of the differential outputs from each of the MDACs and produces an equalized output.

  • Patent number: 7346638
Abstract: A power spectrum estimator consistent with certain embodiments has a pulse extraction circuit that compares a digital input signal with a delayed version of the digital input signal to produce an output signal containing extracted pulses. An averaging circuit receives the output pulse and produces therefrom an averaged signal representing the averaged value of the output signal. A subtracter subtracts a reference signal from the averaged signal to produce a difference signal. An absolute value circuit converts the difference signal to an error signal by taking the absolute value of the difference signal. This abstract is not to be considered limiting, since other embodiments may deviate from the features described in this abstract.

  • Patent number: 5869679
Abstract: Method for synthesizing L-2-oxothiazolidine-4-carboxylate and its acid, L-2-oxothiazolidine-4-carboxylic acid. The present invention involves the separation of phenol from a reaction mixture containing L-2-oxothiazolidine-4-carboxylate and phenol. In the present method a reaction mixture containing phenol, L-2-oxothiazolidine-4-carboxylate, and chloride salt, is contacted with a phenol adsorbing adsorption resin, the adsorption resin comprising a polymer having a polyethylene backbone. The adsorption resin is capable of adsorbing substantially all of the phenol while not adsorbing substantial amounts of the L-2-oxothiazolidine-4-carboxylate from the reaction mixture.
