  • Publication number: 20100044857
Abstract: The invention provides a Wafer Level Chip Size Packaging (WLCSP) target and a method for forming it. A WLCSP target is formed by recombining single chips, wafer parts each including two or more chips or half finished packaging targets which have been subjected to at least one previous step of packaging onto a first substrate, or bonding a wafer part which is formed by dicing a whole wafer and includes at least two chips to a second substrate for bonding. Thus, a wafer with a larger size can be packaged through the WLCSP on a WLCSP apparatus with a smaller size while benefiting from the advantages of the WLCSP, the WLCSP apparatus remains applicable within a longer period of time, the cost is lowered, and enterprises may keep up with the development of the market and the increase of the wafer size without having to update the WLCSP apparatus substantially.

  • Patent number: 7652903
Abstract: In this invention a hit ahead multi-level hierarchical scalable priority encoding logic and circuits are disclosed. The advantage of hierarchical priority encoding is to improve the speed and simplify the circuit implementation and make circuit design flexible and scalable. To reduce the time of waiting for previous level priority encoding result, hit signal is generated first in each level to participate next level priority encoding, and it is called Hit Ahead Priority Encoding (HAPE) encoding. The hierarchical priority encoding can be applied to the scalable architecture among the different sub-blocks and can also be applied with in one sub-block. The priority encoding and hit are processed completely parallel without correlation, and the priority encoding, hit generation, address encoding and MUX selection of the address to next level all share same structure of circuits.

  • Publication number: 20060270059
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for preparing an array of polymeric compounds on a substrate. Drops of polymer subunits are dispensed to a surface of a substrate from two or more drop dispensing modules wherein each module comprises dispensers for dispensing a respective polymer-forming reagent. At least two of the modules and a substrate are brought into drop dispensing relationship in at least one step prior to conducting the step of preparing the surface for repeating the drop-dispensing step. Next, the surface is subjected to reagents to prepare the surface for repeating the drop-dispensing step. The above steps are repeated for a sufficient number of cycles to prepare the array of polymeric compounds.

  • Patent number: 6999331
Abstract: A dummy Content-addressable memory (CAM) cell and a dummy Ternary Content-addressable memory (TCAM) cell are connected to each row in a CAM and a ternary CAM array, respectively, to enable a differential match line sensing based on the content stored. The ternary content-addressable memory (TCAM) cell is for a differential match line sensing in low power applications. A method includes generating a voltage difference between match line signal and a reference line signal, and then detecting and amplifying the voltage difference to determine a match or a mismatch.

  • Publication number: 20050074787
Abstract: An array of oligonucleotides on a solid substrate is disclosed, which can be used for multiple purposes. Methods and reagents are provided for performing genotyping to determine the identity or ratio of allelic forms of a gene in a sample. A single base extension primer is coupled to a sequence identity code.
