    Abstract: A method and an apparatus for controlling sending of a heartbeat signal are provided. The method includes acquiring a target push delay corresponding to all target applications; sending the target push delay to a push server; receiving a first heartbeat signal control time sent by the push server and corresponding to the target push delay; and sending a heartbeat signal to the push server at an interval of the first heartbeat signal control time. According to the embodiments of the present invention, a first heartbeat signal control time may be determined according to an acquired target push delay corresponding to all target applications, and the first heartbeat signal control time may be adjusted according to a target application, so that a push client can send a heartbeat signal to a push server at an interval of the first heartbeat signal control time, to maintain a Push connection.
