    Abstract: Disclosed is an optimal power flow-based hierarchical control method for a distributed energy storage system (ESS), where the method divides control of an energy storage cluster into three layers, performs primary and secondary control to realize intra-cluster control, and performs tertiary control to realize inter-cluster control. In the primary control, droop coefficients are set to realize intra-cluster basic power distribution. In the secondary control, a frequency/voltage shift and uneven power distribution that are caused by a droop are compensated for based on a consistency algorithm. In the tertiary control, a central controller is set, a solution of an optimal power flow is calculated and delivered to each cluster as a control signal, and the control signal is tracked in real time through the secondary control and the primary control. The method adjusts a reference voltage of each energy storage cluster without requiring a common bus.

    Abstract: An X-ray imaging system using multiple pulsed X-ray sources in motion to perform high efficient and ultrafast 3D radiography is presented. There are multiple pulsed X-ray sources mounted on a structure in motion to form an array of sources. The multiple X-ray sources move simultaneously relative to an object on a pre-defined arc track at a constant speed as a group. Each individual X-ray source can also move rapidly around its static position in a small distance. When an X-ray source has a speed that is equal to group speed but with opposite moving direction, the X-ray source and X-ray flat panel detector are activated through an external exposure control unit so that source stay momentarily standstill. It results in much reduced source travel distance for each X-ray source. 3D scan can cover much wider sweep angle in much shorter time and image analysis can also be done in real-time.

    Abstract: This document describes a multiple hypothesis-based data fusion tracker. Each hypothesis aligns to a different pseudo measurement type. The fusion tracker automatically determines, using a predefined error covariance associated with the radar, which pseudo measurement type has a greater chance of being accurate for a current situation. The fusion tracker may rely on either one of two combined radar and vision calculations, or the fusion tracker may ignore the vision-based pseudo measurements and instead, rely on radar pseudo measurements alone. By selecting between three different bounding boxes, a vision angle based box, a vision lateral position based box, or a radar only based box, the fusion tracker can balance accuracy and speed when drawing, repositioning, or resizing bounding boxes, even under congested traffic or other high volume situations.

    Abstract: A method and a system for providing calibration for a polychromatic photon counting detector forward counting model. Measurements with multiple materials and known path lengths are used to calibrate the photon counting detector counting response of the forward model. The flux independent weighted bin response function is estimated using the expectation maximization method, and then used to estimate the pileup correction terms at plural tube voltage settings for each detector pixel. The beam hardening corrections are then applied to the measured projection data sinogram, and the corrected sinogram is reconstructed to the counting image at the selected single energy.

The cooling tower system effectively mitigates the risk of equipment damage due to freezing during the winter season. Moreover, the anti-freezing method for the cooling tower streamlines the anti-freezing strategy and offers enhanced convenience in terms of regulation and control.
