  • Patent number: 12141001
Abstract: A method for the delayed processing of image data captured by a wrist-wearable device is provided. The method includes receiving, at a wrist-wearable device, image data having a first resolution. The method includes, responsive to receiving the image data having the first resolution, storing the image data on the wrist-wearable device. The method further includes downscaling at least a portion of the image data to produce downscaled image data having a second resolution and presenting, on the wrist-wearable device, the downscaled image data having the second resolution. The method further includes receiving a request to send a representation of the image data to a device distinct from the wrist-wearable device. Responsive to the request, the method includes causing image-processing algorithms to be applied to the stored image data such that processed image data is generated and made available at the distinct device.

  • Patent number: 10890941
Abstract: A headset for experiencing an augmented and/or a virtual reality environment may include a housing defining an interior cavity, with optical components received in the interior cavity of the housing. A front face may be rotatably coupled to a front portion of the housing to selectively enclose the interior of the housing. A computing device including a display may be received in a slot defined between the front portion of the housing and the front face. A face pad may be removably coupled to the housing, opposite the front face, so as to enclose the optical components in the housing. A user may view an augmented/virtual reality environment displayed on the display through the optical components received in the housing. An adjustable head strap assembly may adjustably position the headset on the head of the user.

  • Publication number: 20150084583
Abstract: One embodiment provides a method to store electrical energy in an electronic device, which has a central processing unit (CPU) to provide operating-system and application processing in the device. The method includes controlling, from the CPU of the electronic device, communication sent from the device and received at a wireless charger within communication range of the device. The method further includes computing, in the CPU of the electronic device, a set-point condition for wireless energy flow from the wireless charger to an energy-storage component of the device, and regulating the wireless energy flow based on the set-point condition.
