In many embodiments, the cavity comprises a front surface, and a rear surface, wherein at least a portion of the front surface extends toward the strikeface of the club head.

The club body includes a crown opposite a sole, a toe end opposite a heel end, a back end opposite a face, and a hosel. The sole includes a sole surface. The resting face angle adjuster includes an adjustment member having a keel surface, and a recess formed in the sole such that a portion of the sole surface at least partially bounds the recess. The adjustment member is disposed in the recess and positionable between a first adjustment position and a second adjustment position. In the first adjustment position, the keel surface is at a first distance relative to the portion of the sole surface. In the second adjustment position, the keel surface is at a second distance relative to the portion of the sole surface not equal to the first distance in the direction.

These embodiments relate in particular to a putter-type club head with an adjustment portion that allows a user to change the loft and lie. The separate adjustment portions of the putter-type club head can couple the upper hosel to the body at a plurality of positions. An insert part of the adjustment portion has an upper section for receiving the upper hosel portion, a middle section, and a lower hosel portion. The sections of the adjustment portion can be coupled together by a fastener so that the sections are rotationally movable.

In one example, the club face comprises a reinforcement element such as a looped rib positioned on a rear surface of the club face to provide reinforcement. The club head further comprises an undercut that extends along the entire perimeter of the club face to provide increased club face bending. The combination of the reinforcement element and the undercut reinforces the club head while permitting the club face to bend. Other embodiments of related club heads and methods are also disclosed.

A putter type club head comprises a putter face having a plurality of first curved grooves and a plurality of second curved grooves. The first curved grooves and the second curved grooves extend in a general vertical direction, and intersect each other at a plurality of points across the putter face. The width and depth of the first curved grooves and the second curved grooves can vary across the putter face in a direction extending from a heel end to a toe end, and/or in a direction extending from a top rail to a sole. The vertical groove pattern provides consistent ball speed performance for any impact location on the putter face.

The one or more external ribs can protrude from the ribbed region to increase the strength of the crown and beneficially reduce crown thickness.
