  • Publication number: 20240062303
Abstract: Methods and systems for automatically identifying umbrella sub-funds from within an umbrella investment fund are provided. The method includes: receiving a first data set that includes entity-specific records; retrieving, for each respective entity-specific record, a corresponding set of entity-specific reference data; extracting, from each respective set of reference data, a corresponding umbrella name; determining, based on the corresponding umbrella name, whether the respective entity is associated with a particular sub-fund; and associating the respective entity with other entities that have previously been determined as being associated with the particular sub-fund. The determination may be made by applying an artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm that uses a machine learning technique to determine a probability with respect to whether the respective entity is associated with the particular sub-fund.

  • Patent number: 11494416
Abstract: A method, apparatus, system, and computer program product for processing news items. A computer system receives news items from a network. The computer system identifies relevant news items in the news items based on events in the news items that relate an ability for set of operators to operate a set of properties. The computer system determines a context for the events in the relevant news items. The computer system clusters the relevant news items according to the events in the relevant news items into clusters based on the events such that the relevant news items about the same events are grouped together in the clusters. The same events are determined using the context for the events. The computer system matches the events in the clusters to transactions for the set of properties for the events to form matched transactions. The computer system performs actions for the matched transactions.

  • Patent number: 11315590
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for voice and graphical user interfaces. One of the methods includes receiving an audio input, analyzing the audio input to determine a requested task, determining response data in response to the requested task, determining at least a first part of the response data to be presented as an audio output and at least a second part of the response data to be presented as a visual output, forwarding the first part of the response data to an audio output for presentation to a user, forwarding the second part of the response data to a visual output for presentation to a user; and forwarding to at least one of the audio output and the visual output data describing sources and/or assumptions used to construct the response data.

  • Publication number: 20220092697
Abstract: A method of predicting stock price movements. The method comprises extracting sentences from earning call transcripts related to a publicly traded stock. A neural network embedding layer encodes each extracted sentence into a sentence vector. An attention layer calculates an earning call vector that is a weighted sum of the sentence vectors. A recurrent neural network encodes a time series vector of historical prices for the stock. An attention layer assigns weights to time steps of the time series. An embedding layer encodes an industry sector vector representing categorical features of the sector to which the company belongs. A concatenated vector is calculated from the earning call representation call representation vector, the time series vector, and industry sector vector. A discriminative network predicts a direction of price movement of the stock over a future time period after a new earning call conference according to the concatenated vector.

  • Publication number: 20220036387
Abstract: A method of forecasting is provided. The method comprises forecasting, with a number of univariate models, a number of company-level metrics for a company over a specified time period according to company-specific historical data. A multivariate model is also used to forecast the company-level metrics over the specified time period according to the company-specific historical data and sector-level historical data related to an industry sector to which the company belongs. The forecasts of the univariate models and the multivariate model are combined into an ensemble model, which then forecasts the company-level metrics over the specified time period.
