  • Patent number: 12026482
Abstract: How to correctly understand natural language query and catch the useful information from it is a long-standing research question in the chatbot field. However, in many cases only a small set of words are sufficient for closed-domain tasks. In this paper, we propose Minimal Dictionary Language (MDL): a simple language architecture which allows users to express their needs through certain basic syntax. For the pilot study, we selected Enron email open dataset[2] for our experimental use and apply MDL as the language for email retrieval task. We also built a front-end search interface by Python Flask and Vue.js for test and evaluation purposes.

  • Patent number: 11828781
Abstract: This application provides a transmission absorbing structure and an antenna in-band characteristics test system, relating to design of microwave antennas for radar and communication systems. The transmission absorbing structure includes a coupling feed structure provided with coupling slots for energy coupling with a to-be-tested antenna, two equivalent electric wall structures parallel to each other, and two equivalent magnetic wall structures parallel to each other. The two equivalent electric wall structures and the two equivalent magnetic wall structures together enclose the coupling feed structure, and form a transverse electromagnetic mode (TEM) waveguide. The system includes a vector network analyzer, a to-be-tested antenna electrically connected to the vector network analyzer, and a transmission absorbing structure.

  • Patent number: 8982163
Abstract: Techniques pertaining to dynamically regulating brightness of backlighting in display devices are disclosed. According to one aspect of the present invention, the brightness dynamic range of a display device is adjusted according to the current ambient viewing conditions. In order words, the original brightness dynamic range of the display image is mapped to the brightness dynamic range suitable for human eyes under the current ambient viewing conditions. The brightness of the display image is corrected according to a histogram to enhance the contrast and details of the display image, thereby a high quality displayed image can be presented under the current ambient viewing conditions.
