A sequence of the Zm00001d012005 gene is as shown in SEQ ID NO: 1. In the disclosure, genome-wide association study (GWAS) analysis and genetic linkage analysis are utilized to co-localize SNP_166371888 which is on chromosome 8 and significantly associated with kernel starch content, and a functional gene Zm00001d012005 that regulates the kernel starch content is further identified. The gene Zm00001d012005 can explain 10.19% of phenotypic variation in the kernel starch content.

    Abstract: A method of recycling waste tires includes subjecting a waste tire material to a hydrothermal cracking process to generate a solid component and a fluid component, the fluid component comprising oil and water. At least one filler material, selected from carbon black, silica, and mixtures thereof, is recovered from the solid component. The oil in the fluid component is fractionated to generate at least two oil fractions. A first of the oil fractions is refined to isolate at least one of a wax and a process oil. A second of the oil fractions is subjected to steam cracking to form precursors for forming components of rubber tire. The components of the tire are formed from the precursors, the least one filler material, and the at least one the wax and the process oil, enabling at least 50 wt. % of a new tire to be derived from the waste tire material.

    Abstract: This invention is based upon the unexpected discovery that rice husk ash silica (synthetic amorphous silica from rice husk ash) provides an exceptionally good combination of properties when used in certain tire tread rubber formulations, such as an excellent combination of traction, tread-wear, and rolling resistance. These tread rubber formulations are comprised of a blend of high cis-1,4-polybutadiene rubber and a solution styrene-butadiene rubber which is preferably functionalized with amine groups, siloxy groups, thiol groups, carboxyl groups, or groups that are reactive with hydroxyl groups present on the precipitated rice husk ash silica. The use of such rice husk silica as a reinforcing-filler in rubber formulations is also highly desirable because such silica is a sustainable resource (bio-renewable) which is derived from an agricultural waste material which would otherwise be discarded as an undesirable waste product.

    Abstract: A loop heat pipe with a vapor-liquid two-phase flow injector, including: an evaporator, the vapor-liquid two-phase flow injector, a boiling pool and a condenser. The two-phase flow injector has a central vapor inlet and a circumferential liquid inlet, and is connected to an outlet of the evaporator and an inlet of the boiling pool. The condensate inlet of the condenser is connected to an outlet of the boiling pool. An outlet of the condenser is connected to the evaporator. With the vapor-liquid two-phase flow injector, the invention can directly introduce a part of the supercooled liquid working medium to the boiling pool without passing through the evaporator, solving the problem of insufficient liquid supply for the boiling pool and increasing the driving force for the system operation. Therefore, the invention enables the efficient cooling of electronic devices and the long-distance heat transfer.
