Patent number: 11360013Abstract: The present disclosure provides a device and method for measuring viscosity of acid natural gas with high precision and a wide temperature range. The device is based on the theoretical basis of gas measurement of double-capillary method. Ground conditions (low temperature and low pressure) or formation conditions (high temperature and high pressure) can be simulated by presetting different temperatures and pressures. The viscosity change of acid gas with changes in temperature and pressure is measured. The device has fewer measuring steps, is easy to operate and has high precision, and can provide valid reference data for actual projects or experiments.Type: GrantFiled: April 18, 2019Date of Patent: June 14, 2022Assignee: Southwest Petroleum UniversityInventors: Xiaoqiang Bian, Muming Wang, Yongbing Liu

Patent number: 8757082Abstract: A hull, suitable for use as a tension leg platform (TLP) or as a semi-submersible vessel, comprises columns having a generally polygonal transverse cross section at least one axis of which is generally radially aligned with the central vertical axis of the hull. Buoyant, subsurface pontoons interconnect adjacent columns. The pontoons are generally rectangular in cross section and the outboard, generally vertical surface of each pontoon is connected to a side surface of an adjoining column at a location which is substantially inboard of the outermost face of the column. In certain embodiments of the invention, tendon porches (configured to receive the upper tendon connectors of a TLP) are mounted to the outboard surface of one or more pontoons.Type: GrantFiled: July 1, 2011Date of Patent: June 24, 2014Assignee: Seahorse Equipment CorpInventors: Oriol R. Rijken, Xiaoqiang Bian, Edward Sean Large, Steven John Leverette

Patent number: 8707882Abstract: A hull, suitable for use as a tension leg platform (TLP) or as a semi-submersible vessel, comprises four columns arranged in a rectangular planform with each column having a generally polygonal transverse cross section at least one axis of which is generally disposed at a 45-degree angle to a line between the center points of adjacent columns. Buoyant, subsurface pontoons interconnect adjacent columns. The pontoons are generally rectangular in cross section and the outboard, generally vertical surface of each pontoon is connected to a side surface of an adjoining column at a location which is substantially inboard of the outermost face of the column. In certain embodiments of the invention, tendon porches (configured to receive the upper tendon connectors of a TLP) are mounted to the outboard surface of one or more pontoons.Type: GrantFiled: May 10, 2012Date of Patent: April 29, 2014Assignee: Seahorse Equipment CorpInventors: Oriol R.
