Publication number: 20250356590Abstract: Mesh simplification reduces the complexity of 3D objects while maintaining visual fidelity. While there are effective techniques for mesh simplification for simple meshes, in actual use cases it may be difficult to simplify more complicated meshes. A technical solution retrieves an initial mesh (e.g. a triangle mesh) and constructs an edge list including physical and virtual edges for the initial mesh. The initial mesh is then decimated by iteratively collapsing the edges, prioritized based on a modified quadric error metric that may combine a memory edge quadric error and a memoryless area quadric error. The technical solution may maintain a correspondence map during the decimating and use it to perform texture transfer after simplification based on the correspondence map.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 6, 2025Publication date: November 20, 2025Applicant: Roblox CorporationInventors: Hsueh-Ti Derek LIU, Xiaoting ZHANG, Cem YUKSEL

Publication number: 20250073590Abstract: Some implementations relate to methods, systems and computer readable media to provide an aerodynamic force model for real-time distributed physics simulation. According to one aspect, a computer-implemented method includes receiving a description of a mechanism that includes physically coupled geometric assemblies within a virtual experience, with each geometric assembly defining a surface mesh. The description includes motion data of the mechanism. The method further includes, for each geometric assembly, identifying exposed surface areas of the surface mesh. The method further includes evaluating an aerodynamic force model based on the exposed surface areas and the motion data of the mechanism, where the aerodynamic force model includes a pressure coefficient that varies based on an angle of attack and based on windward and leeward facing surfaces. The method further includes integrating the aerodynamic force models into a physics simulation to refine the motion data of the mechanism.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 28, 2024Publication date: March 6, 2025Applicant: Roblox CorporationInventors: Milad Rakhsha, Xiaoting Zhang, Maciej Mizerski, Jun Kudo, Wei-Ting Liao, Alexander Polyakov, Kyle Khem Chand, Hsueh-Ti Liu

Patent number: 12143392Abstract: Disclosed in various examples are methods, systems, and machine-readable media for exposing a Representational State Transfer (RESTful) interface to users whereby management commands on a datacenter may be issued remotely from the users' workstations for secure, remote management of the datacenter. An application task automation command (e.g., a POWERSHELL® command) is executed remotely by creating a proxy command (e.g., based on a POWERSHELL® cmdlet code) to cause the application task automation command to be executed when the proxy command is remotely invoked and deploying the proxy command to a remote computer, such as the user's workstation. The remote computer issues a request including a user identifier and any parameters for the application task automation command when the corresponding proxy command has been invoked by the remote computer.Type: GrantFiled: May 17, 2023Date of Patent: November 12, 2024Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Vikas Ahuja, Joel T. Publication number: 20240102023Abstract: The present disclosure concerns RNA aptamers that specifically inhibit the protein-protein interaction between MED1 and an estrogen receptor. As shown herein, the aptamers are specific for the LXXLL recognition motif between MED 1 and an estrogen receptor. The present disclosure further concerns pRNA nanoparticles of the RNA aptamers coupled with a further HER2 aptamer that show HER2 specific uptake and subsequent inhibition of cellular proliferation and metastasis in vitro and in vivo. Furthermore, the pRNA nanoparticles showed no adverse effects, signifying a safe and effective composition to specifically target and control HER2 expressing cells.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 14, 2020Publication date: March 28, 2024Applicant: University of CincinnatiInventor: Xiaoting Zhang
