  • Patent number: 11917603
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to methods and apparatus for encoding repetitions of a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH). In some aspects, the disclosed methods or techniques include first determining that a first number of REs of a first PUCCH repetition used for UCI transmission is different than a second number of REs of a second PUCCH repetition used for the UCI transmission. Based on the determination, the UE performs one or more actions to provide a same mother polar code length for generating coded bits for each of the first and second PUCCH repetitions. The UE performs polar code encoding of information bits of the UCI for the first PUCCH repetition and the second PUCCH repetition based on the same mother polar code length. The UE transmits the first and the second PUCCH repetitions including the respective polar-encoded UCI.

  • Patent number: 11917624
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling scheduling transmission of aperiodic channel state information (A-CSI) via a set of uplink transmission repetitions, the set of uplink transmission repetitions including a first set of repetitions associated with a first sounding reference signal (SRS) resource set and a second set of repetitions associated with a second SRS resource set. The UE may receive additional control signaling scheduling transmission of an uplink control channel message that overlaps in time with at least one uplink transmission repetition of the set of uplink transmission repetitions. The UE may multiplex the uplink control channel message with at least one uplink transmission repetition of the set of uplink transmission repetitions, and may transmit the set of uplink transmission repetitions including multiple repetitions of the A-CSI and the multiplexed uplink control channel message.

  • Publication number: 20240064737
Abstract: A plurality of configurations for an uplink phase tracking reference signal (PTRS) are received from a network entity, as well as downlink control information (DCI) for scheduling a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) associated with transmission parameters indicating one of single transmit reception point (sTRP) PUSCH or spatial division multiplexing (SDM) PUSCH. One or more uplink PTRS configurations are identified, based on the transmission parameters. The PUSCH is then transmitted to the network entity, where the PUSCH is associated with the identified one or more uplink PTRS configuration based on an association between the identified one or more uplink PTRS configuration and demodulation reference signal (DMRS) ports.

  • Publication number: 20240064713
Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to channel occupancy time (COT) sharing for sidelink communications are provided. A first user equipment (UE) receives, from a second UE, a first sidelink transmission during a first channel occupancy time (COT), where the first COT is associated with the second UE. The first UE determines whether the second UE is one of two or more UEs intended to receive a second sidelink transmission. The first UE transmits, to the two or more UEs, the second sidelink transmission during a portion of the first COT based on COT sharing. The COT sharing is in response to determining the second UE is one of the two or more UEs intended to receive the second sidelink transmission.

  • Publication number: 20240064799
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for sidelink control signaling using unlicensed spectrum. Wireless devices may perform a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure before accessing a channel of the unlicensed spectrum, and may be unable to access the unlicensed spectrum in some circumstances. In some implementations, a wireless device may leverage resources available for transmitting a sidelink synchronization signal block (S-SSB) for additionally transmitting control signaling. For example, a wireless device may multiplex (such as frequency domain multiplexing) a control signal with a S-SSB, which may be transmitted in accordance with a relaxed LBT threshold. In some implementations, the control signal may include information such as an indication of LBT failure or an LBT status, or may be used to detect a radio link failure (RLF), or may be used the short control signal to synchronize sidelink clusters, among other examples.

  • Patent number: 11910370
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques provide for a base station transmitting to a user equipment (UE) a partial bandwidth configuration for uplink transmissions, where the partial bandwidth configuration may indicate a channel interlace and a portion of a channel bandwidth, for example, for autonomous uplink (AUL) transmissions. The base station may also transmit to the UE an AUL configuration including a group identifier. The UE may determine a starting offset with respect to an AUL subframe for a partial bandwidth transmission based on the group identifier. In some cases, different UEs may be grouped into groups of UEs allocated non-overlapping resources, and UEs allocated overlapping resources may have different starting offsets to begin transmitting. According to the determined starting offset, the UE may perform the partial bandwidth transmission over the channel interlace and the portion of the channel bandwidth.

  • Patent number: 11910360
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) may utilize opportunistic cooperative relaying to support exchanging packets between UEs without establishing or maintaining beamforming alignment between the UEs. Specifically, a source UE may invite nearby UEs (e.g., helper UEs) that receive a sidelink transmission (e.g., a packet meant for a different destination UE) to perform a single frequency network (SFN)-type transmission to opportunistically relay the packet to the destination UE. The helper UEs may receive, decode, and transmit the sidelink signaling from the source UE without establishing or configuring a relay agreement with the source UE. The destination UE may receive the sidelink signaling via cascading, SFN-type transmissions by one or more helper UEs. The destination UE may respond to the sidelink signaling with feedback information via one or more helper UEs or directly to the source UE.

  • Patent number: 11910381
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive downlink control information (DCI) scheduling multiple physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resources for a set of uplink data messages. In some examples, the scheduled PUSCH resources may overlap with reserved or preconfigured uplink resources. The UE may determine, in accordance with a multiplexing configuration, a multiplexing schedule for multiplexing the scheduled PUSCH resources with the reserved or preconfigured uplink resources. The UE may transmit the set of uplink data messages on one or more of the scheduled PUSCH resources based on the multiplexing schedule. The described techniques may enable the UE to transmit the set of uplink data messages with improved reliability based on reducing a number of collisions between the set of uplink data messages and other uplink signals transmitted on the reserved or preconfigured uplink resources.

  • Patent number: 11910444
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses to enable a user equipment (UE) and a base station to improve reception of a random access response (RAR) by the UE in an unlicensed spectrum. A network may define a procedure for calculating a random access radio network temporary identifier (RA-RNTI) specific to unlicensed spectrum based on an extended RAR window. The calculation procedure may allow UEs transmitting in the window to calculate a unique RA-RNTI and identify a RAR addressed to the UE using the unique RA-RNTI. Additionally, or alternatively, a base station may transmit a RAR including timing information associated with a corresponding random access request. Accordingly, a UE may receive the RAR and compare the timing information with its own random access request in order to determine whether the RAR is addressed to the UE. Additionally, a UE may monitor a secondary cell or a sub-band for the RAR.

  • Patent number: 11910359
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a first sidelink control information (SCI) message during a mini-slot of a control resource pool which is decoupled from a data resource pool for sidelink communications. The first SCI message may indicate a data message to be transmitted on a subchannel of the data resource pool to a second UE, where resources between the control resource pool and the data resource pool are mapped. The UE may receive a feedback message from the second UE for the first SCI message during a second mini-slot of the control resource pool. The feedback message may indicate whether a collision or strong interference was detected for the first SCI message. The UE may determine whether to transmit the data message or retransmit the first SCI message based on the feedback message.
