  • Patent number: 10897240
Abstract: A fast startup power oscillator transmitter includes a transistor pair that drives a resonant circuit including a tunable capacitance. A capacitor array preferably forms the tunable capacitance. A voltage booster activates the capacitor array. A clamped body bias voltage booster can set the body bias voltage of the transistor pair in one circuit. Control circuitry activates the resonant circuit through a triode-mode switch transistor in response to an input in a range of 0.3-0.6V, and preferably while controlling the substrate bias voltage of the transistor pair to increase transconductance of the cross-coupled transistor pair. In a variation, a circuit pushes a top plate voltage of one of the two capacitors to 2VDD and pulls the top plate voltage of the other to zero to give the oscillator an initial condition.

  • Patent number: 10859763
Abstract: A hollow-core antiresonant fiber (HC-ARF) with nested supporting rings (NSRs) has a fiber structure that includes from the inside out a fiber core, a first silica antiresonant ring (SARR), a first air antiresonant ring (AARR), a second SARR, a second AARR and an external silica wall. The fiber structure further includes a first NSR within the first AARR and a second NSR within the second AARR. The HC-ARF with NSRs has advantages and benefits of low confined loss (CL), large bandwidth, simple structure and very good bending characteristics. Therefore, the application fields of HC-ARF are greatly expanded.

  • Patent number: 10704986
Abstract: The nondestructive determination of core size of a hollow-core photonic bandgap fiber (HC-PBF) using Fabry-Perot (FP) interference is performed with an apparatus including a tunable laser source (TLS), a 1×2 single-mode (SM) coupler, an SM collimator, a six-axis translation stage, an optical detector, and an oscilloscope. The light from the TLS passes through the 1×2 SM coupler and the SM collimator to perpendicularly enter two parallel air-SiO2 interfaces of the core of the fiber and is reflected, while the TLS is tuned from one wavelength to another. Then the reflected spectrum is guided to the optical detector, where its interference intensity is converted into voltage intensity to be displayed at the oscillator and fitted with a least-squares method to obtain the distance between the two air-SiO2 interfaces. The core size of the fiber can be obtained by rotating the fiber and repeating the procedure at multiple angular positions.

  • Publication number: 20200117955
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a method to generate a recovered image from a compressive measurement vector. The method uses a trained machine learning (ML) model, generated from a decomposed sensing matrix and a compressive measurement labeled pair, to generate a feature vector that has a dimensional value less than that for the recovered image. The feature vector can be linearly transformed into the recovered image. Also disclosed is a system operable to execute a process to train a ML model using a decomposed sensing matrix, a training image, and a compressive measurement vector representing the training image. A system is also disclosed that is operable to utilize a trained ML model and a decomposed sensing matrix to estimate a recovered image represented by a compressive measurement vector.

  • Publication number: 20180173339
Abstract: A user equipment includes a capacitance detection apparatus, a control unit, a microphone, and a prompt apparatus, where the capacitance detection apparatus includes a touch control unit and a capacitance detection unit. The touch control unit is configured to sense a capacitance change of a touch area in which the touch control unit is located, and the microphone is located in the touch area. The capacitance detection unit is electrically connected to the touch control unit, and the capacitance detection unit measures a capacitance value of the touch area according to the capacitance change sensed by the touch control unit, and sends the capacitance value to the control unit, and the control unit determines whether the capacitance value is greater than or equal to a first preset value, and if yes, determines that the microphone is blocked, and controls the prompt apparatus to send prompt information. In this way, a problem of microphone blocking is thoroughly resolved, making an ongoing voice call smoother.
