Patent number: 12156846Abstract: A smart walking assistance device with a walker frame having generally vertical sides and an intersecting front. Wheels located at both ends of a bottom edge of the sides. A soft robotic sensing handle extends in a C shape along the upper edges of the sides and front. The sensing handle has multiple contiguous air filled chambers, each containing a pressure sensor for producing a pressure signal representing the pressure within the chamber. A microcontroller unit receives the pressure signals from the pressure sensors of the handle chambers and determines the status of at least one of the device and a user of the device based on the pressure signals. A stabilization mechanism is driven by the microcontroller so as to stabilize the walker in response to the determined status of at least one of the walker and the user.Type: GrantFiled: June 3, 2022Date of Patent: December 3, 2024Assignee: THE UNIVERSITY OF HONG KONGInventors: Chuan Wu, Jia Pan, Chongyu Zhao, Zhong Shen, Xiaoyang Zhao, Dongmo Hu

Publication number: 20230177158Abstract: Subject matter related to data management is disclosed. Snapshots of a target object in a computing system may be stored, where the snapshot may correspond to multiple versions of the target object. An indication that information in one or more of the snapshots may be stored. A request to restore a snapshot of the target object may be received. In response to the request, a determination of whether the snapshot of the target object is prohibited from being restored may be made based on the indication that information in one or more of the snapshots is flagged for quarantine. A determination of whether to initiate a restoration operation in response to the request to restore the snapshot may also be made based on whether the snapshot is prohibited from being restored.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 4, 2022Publication date: June 8, 2023Inventors: Adam Gee, Kunal Sean Munshani, Benjamin Travis Meadowcroft, Guilherme Vale Ferreira Menezes, Karthick Raja Ravichandran, William Michael Davis, Andrew William Draper, Haijin He, Xiaoyang Zhao

Publication number: 20230145138Abstract: Subject matter related to data management is disclosed. Snapshots of a target object in a computing system may be stored, where the snapshots may correspond to multiple versions of the target object. A first indication that information in a snapshot of the snapshots is flagged for quarantine may be obtained. Based on receiving the first indication, a second indication that the information in the snapshot is prohibited from being restored during a restoration operation for the target operation may be generated. The second indication that the information in the snapshot is prohibited from being restored may be stored.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 4, 2022Publication date: May 11, 2023Inventors: Adam Gee, Kunal Sean Munshani, Benjamin Travis Meadowcroft, Guiherme Vale Ferreira Menezes, Karthick Raja Ravichandran, William Michael Davis, Andrew William Draper, Haijin He, Xiaoyang Zhao

Publication number: 20130035241Abstract: Key genes, microRNAs, other non-coding RNAs and a combination thereof for identifying and regulating pluripotency of cells are provided. The key genes, microRNAs, other non-coding RNAs and a combination thereof are highly expressed in full pluripotent stem cells but are significantly suppressed or silenced in partially pluripotent stem cells. The genes, microRNAs and other non-coding RNAs are those of a chromosome imprinted Dlk1-Dio3 region located on the long arm of mouse chromosome 12, and are homologous genes, microRNAs and other non-coding RNAs having 70-100% homology with them in genomic syntenic regions of other mammals. Also provided are uses of the genes, microRNAs, other non-coding RNAs and combination thereof in identifying the pluripotent status of stem cells and regulating pluripotency of cells; in typing stem cells; regulating pluripotency of cells, pluripotent states and levels of cells; treating diseases; and developing drug targets for tumor treatment and antitumor drugs.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 7, 2010Publication date: February 7, 2013Applicant: INSTITUTE OF ZOOLOGY, CHINESE ACADEMY OF SCIENCESInventors: Qi Zhou, Xiujie Wang, Liu Wang, Lei Liu, Xiaoyang Zhao, Wei Yang, Guanzheng Luo, Zhuo LV, Qinyuan Zheng, Huajun Wu, Wei Li
