Patent number: 12232203Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a configuration method and apparatus. When indicating, by using an RRC connection release message, a terminal to enter an inactive state from a connected state, a network device may include, in the RRC connection release message, a configuration parameter allocated to the terminal in the inactive state. That is, the terminal receives the radio resource control RRC connection release message sent by the network device, where the RRC connection release message includes first information used to indicate a target configuration parameter. In this way, the terminal may enter the inactive state based on the RRC connection release message, and determine a context parameter of the inactive state based on the first information, so that the configuration parameter is properly allocated to the terminal in the inactive state.Type: GrantFiled: March 29, 2022Date of Patent: February 18, 2025Assignee: Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.Inventors: Xiaoying Xu, Qinghai Zeng, Mingzeng Dai, Qufang Huang, Chong Lou, Yan Chen

Patent number: 12232177Abstract: This application provides a random access method and a communication apparatus. The method includes: receiving, by a terminal device, a response message from a network device; determining, by the terminal device, a message format of the response message, where the message format includes a first format or a second format; and parsing, by the terminal device, the response message based on the determined message format, where the response message in the first format includes a contention resolution identity and a control plane message; and the response message in the second format includes a contention resolution identity and includes no control plane message. A two-step random access method provided in this application includes two message formats of a random access response.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 2021Date of Patent: February 18, 2025Assignee: Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.Inventors: Chunhua You, Qufang Huang, Xiaoying Xu, Yinghao Guo, Chong Lou

Patent number: 12225603Abstract: This application provides a communication method and apparatus, and relates to the field of communication technologies, to resolve problems of a long data transmission delay and high signaling overheads. A first access network device receives uplink user plane data from a user equipment in an inactive state, and sends an uplink control plane information element and the uplink user plane data to a second access network device through a same interface. The method is applied to a data transmission process.Type: GrantFiled: February 16, 2022Date of Patent: February 11, 2025Assignee: Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.Inventors: Xiaoying Xu, Qufang Huang, Chong Lou, Qinghai Zeng

Patent number: 12213094Abstract: This application provides a method for processing timing advance (TA) of a terminal, and an apparatus. A terminal obtains a correspondence between first TA and a beam, determines, based on the correspondence, the beam corresponding to the first TA, and further determines, based on the beam corresponding to the first TA, whether the first TA is invalid. According to this application, the terminal may determine, by using a finer granularity, whether the first TA is invalid, and this helps trigger selection of more appropriate TA, thereby further reducing interference between uplink transmission.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2022Date of Patent: January 28, 2025Assignee: Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.Inventors: Chunhua You, Qufang Huang, Xiaoying Xu

Patent number: 12204740Abstract: An integrated approach is provided to running web applications with various compatibilities that do not require third-party extensions or sacrifice user experience. When a page of an application incompatible with a first browser is to be executed, an instance of a second browser with which the page is compatible is separately invoked and/or executed without opening a window for that second browser. Instead, the second browser opens a page within the window of the first browser. Moreover, rendering and/or contextual information for a page opened via the second browser is provided to the first browser. Such information is utilized by the first browser to provide a visual experience to the user in which the web page is being hosted by the first browser, even though it is in fact being hosted by the second browser.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 2022Date of Patent: January 21, 2025Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Adrian Bogdan Guta, Joshua P. Patent number: 10733260Abstract: Web pages compatible with different web browsers are seamlessly rendered within the same tab of a single web browser window. A first browser is executed in a computing device, and has an open browser window. A request is received at the first browser to navigate to a first page. The first page is determined to be incompatible with the first browser and compatible with a second browser. Under control by the first browser, an instance of the second browser is invoked without a browser window opening for the instance of the second browser. An address of the first page is provided to the instance of the second browser. The instance of the second browser renders the first page within a tab in the open browser window of the first browser.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 2019Date of Patent: August 4, 2020Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Todd A.
