The cord has a plug end configured to engage an AC power outlet and is configured to transmit the AC power from the AC power outlet to the charging circuit. A controller is configured to control a charging operation mode of the charging circuit and a status indicator is located at the plug end of the cord and configured to be controlled by the controller to indicate the charging operation mode of the charging circuit.
