Each encode expression of the second of the scale levels may include one or more of the encode expressions of the first of the scale levels. The polarization conversion element is provided on a propagation path of the second beam to convert the second beam into a light having a polarization direction perpendicular to an original polarization direction of the second beam. The converted light is guided to the beam combining device which is configured to combine the first beam and the converted light into one beam for outputting.

    Abstract: A microelectromechanical system (MEMS) apparatus is described. The MEMS apparatus may comprise inertial sensors and energy harvesters configured to convert mechanical vibrational energy into electric energy. The harvested energy may be used to power an electronic circuit, such as the circuit used to sense acceleration from the inertial sensors. The inertial sensors and the energy harvesters may be disposed on the same substrate, and may share the same proof mass. The energy harvesters may include a piezoelectric material layers disposed on a flexible structure. When the flexible structures flexes in response to vibration, stress arises in the piezoelectric material layer, which leads to the generation of electricity. Examples of inertial sensors include accelerometers and gyroscopes.

One or more convolution layers are applied to the medical image to create one or more feature maps, respectively. A region proposal network (RPN) is applied to each of the one or more feature maps to create a bounding box around each lesion and interference. For each bounding box, an object in the bounding box is classified as a lesion, an interference, or a background. Each object that is incorrectly classified as a lesion but determined to be an interference, is stored as a hard-negative example to be part of a training set for a next application of the RPN.
