After entering a tunnel state, an idle state protocol submodule does not wait for a measurement start command to trigger pilot measurement. Instead, the idle state protocol submodule directly triggers pilot measurement by actively querying for high rate packet data (HRPD) measurement permission variable information. Alternatively, measurement indication information sent by an initialization protocol submodule is buffered in advance, so that after entering the tunnel state, the idle state protocol submodule can trigger pilot measurement by querying for the buffered information. Alternatively, the idle state protocol submodule performs pilot measurement according to received measurement indication information sent by an air interface connection management protocol submodule when the idle state protocol submodule is activated.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for negotiation control of Quality of Service (QoS) parameters are provided. The method includes: obtaining, by a High Rate Packet Data (HRPD) Serving Gateway (HSGW), static QoS parameters of a User Equipment (UE), where the static QoS parameters include static QoS parameters related to an Access Point Name (APN); establishing, by the HSGW, a Packet Data Network (PDN) connection corresponding to the APN with the UE; and sending, by the HSGW, static QoS parameters related to the APN corresponding to the PDN to an access network to enable the access network to perform QoS authorization, according to the static QoS parameters related to the APN corresponding to the PDN, for establishing an air interface bearer for the UE.

Abstract: A two-dimensional (2D) mesh is applied over a distortion surface to approximate a lens roll-off distortion pattern. The process to apply the 2D mesh distributes a plurality of grid points among the distortion pattern and sub-samples the distortion pattern to derive corrected digital gains at each grid location. Non-grid pixels underlying grid blocks having a grid point at each corner are adjusted based on the approximation of the lens roll-off for the grid points of the grid block. In one example, bilinear interpolation is used. The techniques universally correct lens roll-off distortion irregardless of the distortion pattern shape or type. The technique may also correct for green channel imbalance.

Abstract: A method, a system, and a device for network handoff is disclosed. A first evolved Access Network (eAN) sends a session transfer request to the target eAN that corresponds to the network handoff request. The first eAN receives a session transfer response from the target eAN. The first eAN sends a Traffic Channel Assignment (TCA) message to a User Equipment (UE) based on the session transfer response, so that the UE can switch from a Long Term Evolution (LTE) network to an evolved High Rate Packet Data (eHRPD) network based on the TCA message.

Abstract: An inter-network tunnel switching method includes the following steps: a first inter-network interconnection device on a first network sets up a second tunnel between the first inter-network interconnection device and a second inter-network interconnection device on a second network and triggers the switching from a first tunnel to the second tunnel. The first and second tunnels are configured to forward signaling between a mobile station (MS) on the first network and the second network or between an MS on the second network and the first network. A first inter-network interconnection device is also provided.

Abstract: The present invention provides techniques for performing molecular dynamics simulation on a multiprocessor system. The method comprises: dividing a substance space on which molecular dynamics simulation are to be performed into a plurality of cells; storing data of molecules of the plurality of cells in the main memory of the multiprocessor system such that data of molecules of each cell are continuously stored in a memory area corresponding to the cell; and the plurality of accelerators repeatedly acquiring the data of molecules of the plurality of cells from the main memory and performing molecular dynamics simulation computations in parallel such that data of molecules of at least one cell are acquired in one DMA operation. By continuously storing data of molecules of each cell in a memory area corresponding to the cell, the present invention reduces the data exchanges between each accelerator and the main memory during simulation.

Abstract: Techniques for improving the quality of images are described. A first histogram of intensity values may be obtained for an input image and diffused to obtain a second histogram with better intensity coverage. The diffusion may be achieved by filtering the first histogram for multiple iterations with a diffusion function obtained based on a filter function and a diffusion control function. The filter function may control the rate and/or characteristics of the diffusion. The diffusion control function may control shifts in positions of lobes in the first histogram. A transformation function may be determined based on a first cumulative distribution function (CDF) for the first histogram and an inverse function for a second CDF for the second histogram. An output image may be generated by mapping each pixel value in the input image to a corresponding pixel value in the output image based on the transformation function.

Abstract: The disclosure describes adaptive filtering techniques to improve the quality of captured image information, such as video or still images. An image sensor captures image information and determines a plurality of parameter values based on a current exposure index and a current scaling factor of the image information. The adaptive spatial image filter includes both horizontal and vertical sharpening filters and configures, i.e., adapts, the horizontal sharpening filter and the vertical sharpening filter based on the plurality of parameter values determined by the image sensor. The adaptive spatial image filter applies the horizontal and vertical sharpening filters to at one channel of the image information to generate filtered image information.
