Patent number: 7944852Abstract: A system and method has been provided for the intuitive management of communication networks including a large number of network elements diffused across large geographical areas. The network management system permits the system operator to identify system problems while monitoring the top-level map of the communications network. The organization of network displays permits an operator to “zoom” from the higher levels of network abstraction, depicting a large number of elements across a large geographic area, to local geographical areas where specific problems associated with individual elements can be identified.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 2009Date of Patent: May 17, 2011Assignee: AT&T Mobility II LLCInventor: Xinguo Wei

Patent number: 7822572Abstract: A method for calibration of a digital celestial sensor is disclosed. First, an integrated mathematic model for imaging of a celestial sensor is established according to external and internal parameters of the calibration system of the celestial sensor. Second, by rotating two axes of a rotator by different angles, calibration points data are acquired and sent to a processing computer through an interface circuit. Finally, a two-step calibration program is implemented to calculate the calibration parameters by substituting calibration points' data to the integrated mathematic model. An application device of the calibration method is also provided. The device may include a celestial simulator to provide simulated sunlight or starlight, a two-axis rotator to acquire different calibration points' data, and a processing computer to record the calibration points' data and calculate the calibration parameters.Type: GrantFiled: February 25, 2008Date of Patent: October 26, 2010Assignee: Beihang UniversityInventors: Guangjun Zhang, Xinguo Wei, Qiaoyun Fan, Jie Jiang

Publication number: 20090012731Abstract: A method for calibration of a digital sun sensor is disclosed. The method comprises following steps. First, an integrated mathematic model for imaging of a sun sensor is established according to the external and internal parameters of the calibration system of the sun sensor. Next, the two axis of the rotator are rotated by different angles. Then, calibration points' data are acquired and sent to a processing computer through an interface circuit. Finally, a two-step calibration program is implemented to calculate the calibration parameters by substituting the calibration points' data to the integrated mathematic model. The disclosure also relates to an application device of the calibration method. The device comprises: a sun simulator to provide the incident sunlight, a two-axis rotator to acquire different the calibration points' data, and a processing computer to record the calibration points' data and calculate the calibration parameters.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 24, 2008Publication date: January 8, 2009Inventors: Guangjun Zhang, Xinguo Wei, Qiaoyun Fan, Jie Jiang

Patent number: 6445912Abstract: A method has been provided for automatically defining the communication services available to a potential subscriber on the basis of street address. The method is able to provide rate center information in response to the submission of a street address. The method is especially advantageous when applied to fixed-position wireless systems, such as AT&T's Fixed Wireless System (FWS), where the additional complication of determining the radio frequency (RF) coverage available to subscribers is involved. The method determines the base station associated with the street address and applies the business rules of that station to a new subscriber to determine service availability. The RF coverage and business rules determinations are made in response to the submission of a street address. A system for determining service availability in response to the submission of a subscriber address has also been provided.Type: GrantFiled: May 17, 2000Date of Patent: September 3, 2002Assignee: AT&T Wireless Services, Inc.Inventors: Allen Cole, Susan Engquist, Xinguo Wei
