    Abstract: A vertical alignment liquid crystal display includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer located between the first substrate and the second substrate, a first and a second passivation layers respectively located at inner sides of the first and the second substrates, a common electrode layer and a pixel electrode layer respectively located on the first and the second passivation layers. The liquid crystal layer includes liquid crystal molecules, auxiliary alignment agent and a polymer network penetrating the entire liquid crystal layer. The auxiliary alignment agent makes the liquid crystal molecules in the liquid crystal layer vertically aligned on the surfaces of the first and the second substrates. The polymer network stabilizes alignment of the liquid crystal molecules and enhances vertical alignment effect of the auxiliary alignment agent to the liquid crystal molecules.

The transverse parts and the longitudinal parts intersect one another to separate a plurality of sub pixels and define and delimit closed areas in which the liquid crystal is filled.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display panel includes an upper substrate on which a first common electrode, an insulation layer, and a second common electrode are formed, a lower substrate on which a pixel electrode is formed, and a plurality of polymer projections formed on surfaces of the second common electrode and the pixel electrode to align liquid crystal molecules. One of the first and second common electrodes is a patternized common electrode and the other is a planar common electrode. The pixel electrode is a planar electrode. In a manufacturing process, a voltage is applied to the pixel electrode and the patternized common electrode to cause the liquid crystal molecules to tilt so as to form multiple domains in each of sub-pixels. In a regular operation, a voltage is applied to the pixel electrode and the planar common electrode to make the entire pixel area to simultaneously achieve the maximum transmittance.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display device in vertical alignment and a method for driving the same are disclosed. In the liquid crystal display device, a first horizontal electrode and a second horizontal electrode are added on the basis of a traditional structure. A horizontal electric field can be formed between the first horizontal electrode and the second horizontal electrode, so that negative liquid crystal molecules can rotate along a horizontal direction to a direction of a light transmission axis of a polarizer. A process in which the liquid crystal display device is converted into a dark state from a bright state can be accelerated, and declining time can be effectively shortened. The liquid crystal display device has a high response speed, and a better display effect can be obtained when a dynamic image which moves at a high speed is displayed.
