Patent number: 12711793Abstract: A detecting deepfake system for detecting deepfake in live network traffic communications and stored media. Visual data and audio data are extracted from a plurality of users of an enterprise. Digital fingerprints are generated from the extracted visual data and audio data. The digital fingerprints are matched with the pre-stored fingerprints to produce an output. Further, the visual data and audio data are analyzed by Artificial Intelligence (AI)-detection model. A deepfake detection score is generated based on the analysis by the AI-detection model. The output from the matching of the digital fingerprints with the pre-stored fingerprints and the deepfake detection score are combined to determine a level of deepfake in the extracted visual data and audio data. The policies are applied based on the level of deepfake detected in the visual data and the audio data.Type: GrantFiled: September 16, 2025Date of Patent: August 18, 2026Assignee: NETSKOPE, INC.Inventors: Siying Yang, Krishna Narayanaswamy, Sanjay Beri, Yihua Liao, Jason Bryslawskyj, Xinjun Zhang

Publication number: 20260236579Abstract: A cloud-based network security system (NSS) is described. The NSS uses a sandbox to safely open and extract information about a PDF file and uses machine learning algorithms to analyze the information to predict whether the PDF file contains malware. Specifically, dynamic information about the PDF file is captured while it is open in the sandbox. Static information is extracted from the PDF file as well. The dynamic and static information is input to an AI or machine learning model trained to provide an output indicating a prediction of whether the PDF file contains malware. A verdict engine uses the output from the AI or machine learning model to classify the document as malicious or clean. Security policies can then be applied based on the classification.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 6, 2026Publication date: August 13, 2026Inventors: Xinjun Zhang, Zhenxin Zhan, Ghanashyam Satpathy, Hung-Ming Chen, Dong Guo

Publication number: 20250260716Abstract: A cloud-based network security system (NSS) is described. The NSS uses a sandbox to safely detonate and extract information about a document and uses machine learning algorithms to analyze the information to predict whether the document contains malicious software. Specifically, during the detonation, static and dynamic information about the document is captured in the sandbox as well as character strings from images in the document. The dynamic information (and sometimes the static information) is input to an AI or machine learning model trained to provide an output indicating a prediction of whether the document contains malware. The character strings are compared with a batch of phishing keywords to generate a heuristic score. A validation engine combines the output from the AI or machine learning model and the heuristic score to classify the document as malicious or clean. Security policies can then be applied based on the classification.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 6, 2025Publication date: August 14, 2025Inventors: Xinjun Zhang, Ari Azarafrooz, Zhenxin Zhan, Ghanashyam Satpathy, Hung-Ming Chen
