The present application demonstrates for the first time that the acridinedione compound can improve insulin resistance by activating and upregulating GPR40 protein expression, participating in GPR40-PPAR?-PI3K/Akt-GLUT4 signaling pathway, promoting insulin secretion and increasing glucose consumption in liver and muscle tissue. The target of the acridinedione compound is the GPR40 receptor, its insulinotropic effect is glucose-dependent, and its hypoglycemic effect disappears when peripheral blood glucose falls below a certain level.
