  • Patent number: 11954832
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for three-dimensional reconstruction. Images of the reconstruction space captured by N cameras are acquired as N current images in response to an object entering the reconstruction space. Foreground-background differences of all position points in the N current images are obtained according to the N current images and N corresponding initial background images captured by the N cameras when the reconstruction space is empty. Corresponding foreground-background differences of position points in the N current images are fused according to a corresponding relationship between all position points in the N current images and all position points in the reconstruction space, to obtain a foreground-background difference of each position point in the reconstruction space.

  • Publication number: 20240105821
Abstract: A structure of a two-dimensional material-based device having an air-gap and a method for preparing same comprises a substrate, a gate, an dielectric, a two-dimensional material-based film, and source and drain electrodes; the air-gap is formed between the two-dimensional material-based film and the side wall of the dielectric on the gate, or the air-gap is formed between the dielectric and the gate; two-dimensional material-based devices of the above structure utilize the ductility and flexibility of two-dimensional materials to reduce the coupling between the gate and the source/drain electrodes, thereby reducing the parasitic capacitance and the circuit delay; also, the structure ensures that a part of the contact region of the source and drain electrodes with the two-dimensional material can be controlled by the gate, and can thus avoid the reduction in electrical properties and keep a low resistance of the device.

  • Patent number: 11913933
Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and systems for transducing measurements from medium of interest. One non-limiting example is in planta monitoring of plants. In one aspect, a micro- or nano-scale probe body includes one or more microprobes (e.g. microneedles or waveguides) to access desired plant tissue, and one or more microsensors on the probe body. A microcircuit on or in the probe body transduces relevant measurements from the microsensor(s). An output interface allows storage, communication, or transfer of the transduced measurement for further use. Non-limiting examples are processing into estimations of chemical concentrations or the like for biochemical sensing. As such, if used as in planta sensors, they can be minimally invasive and cost effective for both single use and use in sets for plural plants with one central station.

  • Patent number: 11910452
Abstract: This disclosure relates to methods, non-transitory computer readable media, and client devices that automatically initiate a wireless network connection (e.g., a pairing) with an auxiliary computing device based on recurring detection of a wireless broadcast signal from the auxiliary computing device. Upon detecting a wireless broadcast signal for an auxiliary computing device satisfying a signal-strength threshold at multiple times or locations, for example, the disclosed client devices can automatically initiate a wireless network connection (e.g., a pairing) with the auxiliary computing device. By automatically initiating a wireless connection with such an auxiliary computing device, the disclosed client devices obviate inefficient user interactions conventional computing devices use to establish a pairing, facilitate pairings with auxiliary computing devices for unsavvy technology users, and avoid unsecure wireless connections that may compromise data on the disclosed provider client devices.

  • Patent number: 11016441
Abstract: A two-step optimization process is utilized to define an optimal phase profile for a LCoS spatial light modulator. The two-step optimization process first utilizes a nonlinear constrained optimization (NCO) program to determine the specific parameters required to obtain an optimal phase profile (hologram), where the “optimal phase profile” is typically defined as that profile which achieves maximum diffraction efficiency for optical switching. Following this first step, phase scaling (and perhaps an adjustment in the number of pixels per period) is employed to slightly modify the values of the optimal phase profile to effectively suppress crosstalk peaks. If any orders still exhibit an unacceptable level of crosstalk, these orders are then subtracted from the phase profile to create the final design.
