Abstract: There are provided methods, devices, and computer program products for providing media data in a social application. In the method, a first user account of the social application is determined, and the first user account is a business user account of the social application. An interaction event is obtained between a second user account of the social application and the first user account, and the second user account being a personal user account of the social application. Media data associated with the first user account is provided to the second user account based on the interaction event. With these implementations, the data communications between the business user account and the personal user account may be implemented in a flexible and effective way.

Abstract: A computing system can communicate, over one or more networks, with computing devices of requesting users and transport providers of a transport service, and determine, based at least in part on location data from the computing devices of a cluster of the requesting users, that the cluster of requesting users is currently in transit on a third-party transit means. The computing system can then determine that a subset of the cluster will arrive at a common arrival location of the third-party transit means, and execute a timing optimization for the subset to determine, for each requesting user of the subset, an optimal time to transmit a transport request for an on-demand transport service at the common arrival location.

Abstract: A network system implementing or managing a network-based service is configured to receive a query from a user device, the query indicating a start location and a service location. Based on the start location, service location, and the time of receipt of the query, the network system can determine whether to perform request optimization for the user. In response to determining to perform request optimization and if the user accepts request optimization, the network system can schedule or queue the request for service from the user for processing during an optimization time window. The request optimization can improve the probability that the request from the user is matched with other requests from other users for a rideshare-pooling service class of the network-based service. In some circumstances, the network system can determine to automatically perform request optimization without prompting the user to accept or decline the request optimization.
