    Abstract: A dust collecting attachment includes a dust suction portion and a main body. The dust suction portion has a suction opening through which a tip tool is allowed to pass. The main body has a dust collection passage communicated with the dust suction portion and connectable to an external hose. The main body includes a suction space, an air vent hole, and an air vent operation portion. The suction space is communicated with the dust collection passage and has a suction port opening to a workpiece. The air vent hole opens the suction space to outside. The air vent operation portion normally closes the air vent hole and opens the air vent hole by a predetermined operation. The air vent operation portion is operated together with an operation of removing the main body from the workpiece to open the air vent hole.
