The battery includes multiple battery cells, a box, and a spray mechanism, wherein at least one battery cell among multiple battery cells includes a pressure relief mechanism. The box includes an electrical chamber, a collection chamber, and a first isolation component, wherein the electrical chamber is configured to accommodate the multiple battery cells; the collection chamber is configured to collect emissions from the battery cells arranged with the pressure relief mechanism when the pressure relief mechanism is actuated; the first isolation component is configured to isolate the electrical chamber and the collection chamber; and the first isolation component is provided with a first through hole, wherein the emissions can enter the collection chamber through the first through hole. The spray mechanism is arranged within the collection chamber, wherein the spray mechanism is configured to spray firefighting media into the collection chamber.

    Abstract: A battery may include: a battery cell; a housing to accommodate the battery cell, where the housing may include a pressure relief structure to release, out of the housing, emissions induced by thermal runaway of the battery cell; and a charging connector to be electrically connected to the battery cell. The charging connector may include a body portion disposed on a side that is of the housing and that is oriented back from the battery cell, and covers the pressure relief structure. The emissions induced by thermal runaway of the battery cell are able to pass through the pressure relief structure and act on the body portion so that at least a part of the body portion may be triggered to move away from the battery cell to electrically disconnect the charging connector from the battery cell.

    Abstract: An energy storage system includes a housing, a detection component, an air intake fan, and an air exhaust fan. The housing is provided with an air inlet and an air outlet. The detection component is coupled to the housing and is configured to detect a concentration of combustible gas within the housing. The air intake fan and the air exhaust fan are both coupled to the housing. The air intake fan drives external airflow to enter the housing through the air inlet, and the air exhaust fan drives airflow within the housing to exit the housing through the air outlet. Both the air intake fan and the air exhaust fan are configured to start up when the concentration of combustible gas reaches or exceeds a minimum value of a specified range. The energy storage system provided in this application can improve the discharge efficiency of combustible gas.

    Abstract: A pressure relief apparatus, a battery cell, a battery, and an electrical device are provided in embodiments of the present application. The pressure relief apparatus includes a pressure relief body and a score groove. The pressure relief body includes a pressure relief portion configured to be opened to relieve a pressure inside the battery cell when an internal pressure or temperature of the battery cell reaches a threshold. The score groove is arranged on the pressure relief body and includes a first arc-shaped groove and a second arc-shaped groove. The arc-shaped design of the first arc-shaped groove and the second arc-shaped groove makes it less likely that the pressure relief portion cannot be opened in a large area, thereby improving the safety of the battery cell.
