    Abstract: Radio network resources are dynamically optimized based on the type of user equipment. A method, a radio network node, a core network node and a computer program product are provided for managing radio resources in a radio access network formed of cells and having terminals connected to it. A radio resource management action is performed based on determined terminal type information. In particular, the terminal type is a smartphone. The radio resource management action includes load balancing between cells and/or network tuning.
