    Abstract: A method of uplink control information (UCI) transmission over physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) is proposed. The UCI may include different information and being transmitted using different PUCCH formats. Under certain scenarios, the coded UCI bitstream size may not be assigned to an integer number of modulated symbols. To eliminate unnecessary processing as well as to utilize every bit in a modulated resource element, it is proposed to adjust the UCI codeword size to be a multiple of PUCCH modulation order.

    Abstract: A method of UE adaptation to traffic and UE power consumption characteristics based on power profile is proposed. A power profile comprises a set of restrictions on range of values of a subset of RRC parameters that are power consumption relevant. Each power profile targets for a particular traffic characteristic. Further, UE parameter adaptation can be triggered with the help of UE assistance information, e.g., the index of the power profile best fits the operation condition. In one preferred embodiment, hybrid of bandwidth part (BWP) and power profile is proposed. UE is configured with multiple BWPs and each BWP includes a set of power profiles. Within a BWP, only one of the power profiles is active at a time; the parameter configuration of each power profile corresponds to a specific traffic characteristic.

    Abstract: A method of new radio physical broadcast channel (NR-PBCH) bit mapping is proposed to improve for NR-PBCH decoding performance under Polar codes. NR-PBCH carries 32 information bits and 24 CRC bits. Specifically, NR-PBCH uses 512-bit Polar codes to carry total 56 data bits. Different Polar code bit channels have different channel reliability. As a general rule, the most reliable Polar code bit channels are used for the 56 data bits. In accordance with a novel aspect, within the 32 NR-PBCH information bits, some of the information bits that can be known to the decoders under certain conditions and therefore are placed at the least reliable Polar code bit positions. As a result, by mapping the NR-PBCH data bits properly at the input bit positions of Polar codes, the NR-PBCH decoding performance is improved when the known bits a priori can be exploited.

    Abstract: A method of providing a relaxed UE processing time for uplink transmission in NR is proposed. The UE processing time of uplink transmission is required for HARQ-ACK after the reception of downlink data over physical data shared channel (PDSCH). The UE processing time is also required for physical uplink share channel (PUSCH) transmission after the reception of an uplink grant. Under non-co-located carrier aggregation, the timing difference between the signals received at the UE in different cells could be up to 30.26 us, which increases the UE processing time for uplink transmission. In accordance with one novel aspect, the UE processing time requirement is relaxed according to the timing difference requirement for carrier aggregation, when CA is operated. In addition, the UE processing time requirement also depends on the applied subcarrier spacing (SCS) in NR systems.
