  • Patent number: 12094054
Abstract: Examples relate to implementations of a neural light transport. A computing system may obtain data indicative of a plurality of UV texture maps and a geometry of an object. Each UV texture map depicts the object from a perspective of a plurality of perspectives. The computing system may train a neural network to learn a light transport function using the data. The light transport function may be a continuous function that specifies how light interacts with the object when the object is viewed from the plurality of perspectives. The computing system may generate an output UV texture map that depicts the object from a synthesized perspective based on an application of the light transport function by the trained neural network.

  • Patent number: 11517005
Abstract: Automatic jigging machines for fishing purposes each feature a stationary base, and a bending beam load cell by that supports a fishing rod in cantilevered fashion from the base and serves as a bite sensor for detecting a hooked fish, and alerting the user via an alarm function. An electric motor driven in cyclically alternating directions causes automatic jigging of the fishing line, whether through motor-driven reel operation, or through motor-driven tilting of the fishing rod about a pivot point by a screw-based drive mechanism. Where a motorized reel on a removable fishing rod is used for jigging purposes, a manual-override switch is included to enable immediate and convenient manual takeover of the reeling in process by simple grabbing of the fishing rod handle.

  • Patent number: 10662653
Abstract: A roofing material applicator features a frame displaceable over a roof deck, a holding tank supported on a frame to contain a liquid roofing substance, an endless flexible belt, and a set of rotatable belt rollers around which the belt is entrained. The belt rollers include a liquid-application roller positioned for rolling movement atop the roof deck. A circuituous path around of the belt around the belt rollers passes through the holding tank so that the liquid roofing substance collects onto the belt. From the tank, the belt is routed rearwardly under liquid-application roller from a front leading side thereof. Rolling movement of the liquid-application roller during travel over the roof lays a swath of the liquid substance from the underside of the belt onto the roof deck. Sheet rollers may be included to lay a sheet of membrane or reinforcement fabric over the applied liquid swath.

  • Patent number: 10458120
Abstract: A roofing system features a plurality of roofing sheets each having an outer perimeter of which two opposing perimeter edges respectively define a fastening edge and a hooking edge. One or more fastening holes penetrate the sheet near the fastening edge. At the hooking edge, the sheet is bent under itself to form a hooking portion reaching back toward the fastening edge. A plurality of hold-downs are placed atop a first row of roofing sheets near the fastening edges thereof, and have apertures aligned with the fastening holes of the roofing sheets, through which the hold-downs are fastened to the a roof deck. The hooking edges of a next row of roofing sheets hook to the affixed hold-downs of the first row, thus coupling the two rows of sheets together and concealing the first row's fastened connection to the roof deck beneath the second row.

  • Patent number: 9988816
Abstract: Metal roofing includes metal roof-covering sheets or tiles having apertures along longitudinal end edges for coupling a pair of the sheets in an overlapping condition. One fastening arrangement comprises a fastener having a shaft extending in a longitudinal direction and fastening features at longitudinally spaced positions along the shaft. The fastening features may comprise a fastening peg or an opening receiving a fastening member therethrough. The pegs and openings may be combined in such a manner that at least two of the features cooperate with the apertures of the respective sheet in opposing transverse directions so as to longitudinally offset the apertures in the overlapping condition. Another fastening arrangement comprises a roof-covering sheet locating fastenings pegs which are spaced inward of the apertures in a longitudinal direction of the sheet so as to form the longitudinal offset between the respective sets of apertures.
