  • Patent number: 8960983
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to a profiled light guide plate, a backlight module and a liquid crystal display device. In the profiled light guided plate according to the embodiments of the present invention, because the reflectivity of the profiled assembly is less than that of the light entry assembly, the emergent angle of the light beam entering into the profiled assembly from the light entry assembly is larger than the incident angle thereof, which causes the light beam entering from the light entry assembly into the profiled assembly to converge towards the central part of the profiled assembly, away from the ramp of the profiled assembly, thereby decreasing the amount of light leakage from the ramp.

  • Publication number: 20140292837
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to a color temperature tuning method, a color temperature tuning apparatus, and a display apparatus. The color temperature tuning method includes the steps of: matching an input color temperature signal with a color temperature value in the color temperature lookup table, and extracting a current signal corresponding to the color temperature value matching with the input color temperature signal from the color temperature lookup table; and controlling a light emitting device to emit light according to the current signal. According to embodiments of the present invention, intermediate calculation process is omitted and time for tuning the color temperature is shorten. Currents flowing through the blue and green light emitting elements are controlled to emit lights to excite red fluorescent powder, so that the LED emits lights having various color temperatures, and tuning accuracy of the color temperature and user experience are improved.

  • Publication number: 20140146565
Abstract: The present invention discloses a backlight LED structure, a backlight and a display device. In the backlight LED structure, a flange structure is arranged at the upper side of an LED bracket which is defined when the LED bracket is mounted close to a light guide plate such that the flange structure covers the upper side of the light guide plate when the LED structure and the light guide plate are assembled. In addition, each of the two ends of the flange structure has an angular area extending outwards, and the lower surfaces of the two angular areas are distributed with light guide points. The backlight LED structure can prevent the LED light from being emitted from the fitting gap between the backlight LED structure and the light guide plate, and control direction of light between the backlight LED structures and scatter travel direction of the light.

  • Publication number: 20140126240
Abstract: The invention discloses a light-emitting unit, comprising a backplane and a light source provided on the backplane. The light source includes a plurality of sub light sources. The light-emitting unit further comprises light reflecting structures provided between the sub light sources. The light reflecting structures are configured to reflect the light radiating thereon from the sub light sources into the light-emitting direction of the light-emitting unit. Accordingly, the invention discloses a backlight module including the light-emitting unit and a display device including the backlight module. The backlight module in the invention is not only capable of improving a Hotspot phenomenon, but also capable of preventing the light source in the light-emitting unit from directly contacting with a light guide plate.
