Abstract: Provided is a drum-type washing machine having a rotatable viewing window comprising: a front panel of the housing of the washing machine, an access opening provided on the front panel, and a viewing window disposed on the access opening, wherein a hinge component is provided between the viewing window and the front panel of the housing to allow the rotation of the viewing window along a horizontal orientation and along a vertical orientation to the open position. When the viewing window opened to a small degree along the horizontal direction, it then could rotate upwards to open, and accordingly nearly half the space occupied by opening the viewing window of traditional front loading washing machine could be saved. Furthermore, the automatic opening could be achieved.

The method includes: feeding water into an outer drum, and stopping feeding the water when a water inflow level reaches a preset water level, the preset water level is determined based on a position of an outer drum heating device and a position of a bottom of an inner drum, heating the water inside the outer drum, and stopping heating the water when it is heated for preset time or heated to a preset temperature, and performing a steam washing of the clothes.

Abstract: A washing machine with a steam washing function and a control method are provided. The washing machine includes an outer drum, wherein a heater is arranged inside the outer drum; the washing machine further includes a spray thrower used for spraying water to the heater, and the heater heats and vaporizes the water sprayed onto the surface to form high-temperature steam. When the heater is provided with a spray thrower which sprays water to the heater, the heater in a heating state can rapidly heat and vaporize the sprayed water to form a large amount of steam, then the steam generated in the outer drum can be utilized to heat and wet the clothes in the inner drum, such that the washing machine has the functions of steam washing, clothes drying, sterilization and disinfection, deodorization and ironing.
