Abstract: The present invention relates to a heat recovery device particularly suitable for internal combustion engines, and more particularly suitable for engines incorporating a WHRS (waste heat recovery system). The device of the invention relates to the occasional recovery of heat from the exhaust gases where the invention carries out this function such that the main conduit where the exhaust gases circulate is not affected by a noticeable increase in heat loss due to the incorporation of said device. It provides a heat exchanger (3.6) and a bypass flap valve (3.8) upstream for selectively diverting the exhaust gases to the main exhaust conduit (1) or to the heat exchanger (3.6).

Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for managing gases suitable for being installed at the outlet of a particle filter or a catalytic converter. This device is characterized by a very compact configuration combining at least the heat exchanger for an EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) system, particularly suitable for a low-pressure system, and an exhaust gas outlet pipe with a special configuration that is part of the exhaust line. The exhaust outlet incorporates a valve that allows using the heat exchanger of the EGR system as a heat recovery unit.

Abstract: The present invention is a butterfly valve that has been modified such that it reduces internal losses in the closed position. The modifications according to the invention reduce losses occurring mainly through the shaft of the flap of the butterfly valve. The invention is of special interest in the use of butterfly valves in internal combustion engines for managing exhaust gases for their introduction into the intake by means of an EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) system.

Abstract: The present invention is a device for heat exchange particularly suitable for cooling recirculated gas in EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) systems, with a constructive configuration incorporating the heat exchanger together with a bypass conduit and a bypass valve, where most of the parts forming said device allow manufacturing same in stamped sheet metal, thereby reducing manufacturing costs.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a heat exchange device for exchanging heat between two fluids circulating through insulated conduits. In the preferred example the first fluid is a hot gas originating from an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system, and the second fluid is a coolant liquid used for removing heat from the hot gas. The device according to the invention has a simple and cheap construction, lacking a shell, formed by a plurality of extruded aluminium profile segments attached by clad plates arranged perpendicularly giving rise to a very compact and light-weight configuration when it is in an operating mode.
