    Abstract: A housing for an electronic device includes a substrate made of plastic, a base paint layer, a pattern layer, a tin layer, a silicon oxide layer, and a top paint layer. The substrate has an outer surface and an inner surface opposite to the outer surface and facing the interior of the electronic device. The base paint layer is formed on the outer surface. The pattern layer is directly formed on the base paint layer and partially covers the base paint layer. The tin layer is directly formed on the pattern layer and covers the pattern layer and portions of the base paint layer not covered by the pattern layer. The silicon oxide layer is directly formed on the entire tin layer. The top paint layer is formed on the silicon oxide layer. A method for making the housing is also described.

    Abstract: A fine control gas valve includes a tee having opposed first and second tee runs co-axially aligned on a longitudinal axis, and a tee branch. A valve assembly is partially received in and connected to the first tee run having a valve disc connected to a drive screw longitudinally moved by drive screw axial rotation. The valve disc includes a first slot on the valve disc having a first end and a wider second end, and a second disc slot as a mirror image of the first disc slot oppositely positioned about the valve disc. A pipe in the second tee run has a first portion of a pipe end face/seat surface in direct contact with a second tee run shoulder. The valve disc when contacting a second portion of the pipe end face/seat surface defines a valve closed condition. The first and second portions are co-planar to each other.

    Abstract: A surface treatment method for plastic substrate provides an illusion of a three-dimensional weave surface with a high gloss finish. A first shielding sheet with a shielding area, and a plurality of parallel rows of first holes is provided. The first shielding sheet is pasted on a film, and then a first pattern layer is printed on the film, the first pattern layer being translucent. A background layer is formed on the first pattern layer, the color of the background layer being different from the color of the first pattern layer; and the plastic substrate is combined with the film by insert molding, the first pattern layer and the background layer being located between the film and the plastic substrate. A housing manufactured by the method is also provided.

The high speed projector projects the composite images of the 3D objects of different pitching angles and horizontal 360° views to the composite deflective diffusing screen that rotates at a high speed. The composite deflective diffusing screen is able to control the vertical deflecting and scattering angles and horizontal diffusing angle for incident rays with different angles, allowing the surrounding viewers at different height levels to see the images corresponding to their viewpoints, making the displayed 3D objects suspended over the composite deflecting scattering screen, of which the position does not change as the height of the viewpoint changes.

The client includes a feature extraction module, a progressive sending module, a sampling module and a feedback receiver. The progressive sending module divides the features into groups and sends them to the server. The progressive sending module is also responsive to commands from the feedback receiver to terminate the transmission of additional features if a match is found. The progressive feature server is coupled for communication with the client and includes a progressive receiving module, a feedback generator, an image recognizer and a result delivery module. The image recognizer progressively processes the groups of extracted features received from the client and provides results and hints for improved recognition.
