  • Publication number: 20230390684
Abstract: A system includes an array of connected disinfecting filter assembly modules arranged in a plane to filter air that passes through the array as the air flows along an airflow pathway through the array. Each module includes a housing that defines a first slot and a second slot, and a power control unit. A pre-filter can be slid in its operating position along the first slot of the housing, and an electrically enhanced filter can be slid in its operating position along the second slot. The electrically enhanced filter includes a high voltage wire and a ground grid to create an electric field the high voltage wire and the ground grid and an electrical contact pad that electrically connects the power control unit to the high voltage wire when the electrically enhanced filter is located in its operating position in the second slot of the housing.

  • Patent number: 11664256
Abstract: The application discloses a placement system for a door of a wafer pod, including a loadport. A docking interface is formed in the loadport, a placement mechanism is arranged on one side surface of the loadport, and includes a swing component, a follower component, and a docking plate. The swing component and the follower component are respectively connected to the docking plate, and the swing component can drive the docking plate to place the docking plate obliquely above the docking interface. By utilizing the space at the top of the loadport, the structural layout of the loadport is more reasonable; and the docking plate is placed nearly horizontally after the door is placed at a designated position, and provides a supporting force to the door, so that dependence on the vacuum suction is decreased, thereby avoiding the influences due to fluctuations of air pressure.

  • Publication number: 20230097704
Abstract: The disclosure relates to suppressing surface waves in a communication device for a wireless communication system. The communication device includes a dielectric layer extending along a plane between a chassis and a glass layer, an antenna element configured to emit a radio wave, and a retroreflective structure extending inside the dielectric layer and being located adjacent to the antenna element, and where the retroreflective structure is configured to reflect the radio wave in an angle non-parallel to the plane. The retroreflective structure hence prevents parasitic channeling of the antenna energy into surface waves in and behind the glass layer and directs the radiation into the desired direction.

  • Publication number: 20220373202
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed methods and apparatus that improve the energy efficiency of an air filtration apparatus while maintaining a high level of filtration capabilities. Air filtration apparatus consistent with the present disclosure may include an input, a fan, a pre-filter, and electrical conductors that provide a high voltage used to charge particles in an air flow. This apparatus may also include a secondary filter that traps charged particles. The pre-filter may filter air using conventional means, where a high energy electric field generated by high voltage conductors may charge particles in the air such that those particles may clump together and be captured in the secondary filter. These clumping effects may allow a less dense filter media to capture particles that would otherwise pass through the less dense filter. Micro-organisms attached to the captured particles may be degraded or destroyed after they are captured in the secondary filter.

  • Publication number: 20220339314
Abstract: Methods and apparatus of the present disclosure monitor and change operation of an air filtering system or apparatus dynamically over time. Changes to the air filtering apparatus may be associated with a type of facility and air purity requirements associated with the type of facility. Examples of different types of facilities include an office building, a clean room, and a hospital. Apparatus of the present disclosure may include conventional air filters and may include disinfecting air filter sub-assemblies that use a high voltage to charge particles in the air such that those particles may conglomerate and be captured more easily in an air. Methods consistent with the present disclosure may change an air flow rate or may change the voltage used to charge the air particles as conditions associated with the air of a facility change over time.

  • Publication number: 20220314155
Abstract: The present invention is disinfecting air filtration apparatus that allows multiple disinfecting air filtration modules to function in parallel. The apparatus may provide energy to respective parts of a filtration apparatus, such as a V-Bank filter apparatus. The apparatus may also include a front-mounted pre-filter frame that can be secured to other parts of the apparatus without tools. The securing of the pre-filter frame grounds the air filtration module and creates an airtight interface between the air filtration module and the array. Methods consistent with the present disclosure allow for filter apparatus to be connected to or coupled to virtually any size air ducts of an air distribution or a high voltage alternating current air conditioning (HVAC) system.
