    Abstract: Disclosed is a coated rubber particle, preparation thereof and its application as a plugging material in drilling fluids. The coated rubber particle comprises a rubber core and a coating layer, wherein the core has a fluorine content (at %) of 0-15%, the coating layer has a fluorine content (at %) of 30-80%, and the coated rubber particle has a 24-hour oil absorption rate of 4% or less. The coated rubber particle has good oil resistance, and is particularly suitable for use as a plugging material in drilling fluids, particularly oil-based drilling fluids.

    Abstract: A mesoporous piezoelectric or ferroelectric (FE) Al2O3/P(VDF-TrFE) membrane can actively suppress anode dendrites formation when used as a separator in rechargeable aqueous Zn-ion batteries. When the positive polarization side of the FE separator faces the metal anode during charging, the FE separator can reverse the local energetics for Zn2+ reduction at the protrusion area and deplete incoming Zn2+ ions to the flat region. As a result, the symmetric Zn—Zn cell with this P+ separator can achieve a substantially higher cycling stability.

    Abstract: The disclosure relates to the field of molecular biology, and in particular relates to the use of CXCL 14. According to the present invention, different antigen proteins are transferred to the surface of a DC cell by means of the chemotactic binding capacity of CXCL 14 and surface receptors of immune cells such as DC cells. A chemokine of CXCL14 can effectively induce the binding of an antigen molecule to a specific immune cell at the N-terminal of an antigen protein, such that the cross presentation effect of the antigen molecule is greatly enhanced, and CXCL14 can finally induce a stronger specific immune response of the antigen molecule.

    Abstract: A post-ALD in-situ water treatment procedure is used to remove the ligand residues in amorphous TiO2 films coated on photoanode material to improve the film stoichiometry without introducing any additional crystallization. The processed amorphous TiO2 film showed drastically improved chemical stability, and thereby substantially elongated the lifetime of silicon-based photoanodes in alkaline electrolyte.

    Abstract: A flexible piezoelectric thin film, and method of manufacture, has a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)-glycine-PVA sandwich heterostructure. The thin film is manufactured by evaporating the solvent from a glycine-PVA mixture solution. The film automatically assembles into the PVA-glycine-PVA sandwich heterostructure as it is salted out. Strong hydrogen bonding between the oxygen atoms in glycine and hydroxyl groups on PVA chains are responsible for the nucleation and growth of the piezoelectric ?-glycine and alignment of the domain orientation.

    Abstract: Disclosed are a method and system for resource treatment of a reverse osmosis concentrated brine (ROC) by bipolar membrane electrodialysis. The method includes: adding a calcium-magnesium precipitant to ROC, and mixing, to remove hardness; filtering a resulting mixture through diatomaceous earth, to intercept an organic matter and a precipitate; adjusting a resulting filtrate to be acidic with a pH adjuster; feeding a resulting acidic filtrate in an electro-Fenton reaction device, and subjecting the resulting acidic filtrate to oxidation under an acidic environment, such that a chemical oxygen demand removal rate is not less than 97%; subjecting a resulting effluent from the electro-Fenton reaction device to fine filtration with a polypropylene microporous filter, to obtain a fine filtrate; and introducing the fine filtrate into a bipolar membrane electrodialysis device, and performing the bipolar membrane electrodialysis, to generate an acid and an alkali under the action of an external electric field.

    Abstract: A stretchable piezoelectric thin film, and method of manufacture, an open mesh structure formed by a repeating branching and joining pattern. The thin film is manufactured by slowly lifting amino acid nanofibrils from a water-alcohol biphasic solvent. The film automatically assembles into a truss-like mesh network of amino acid nanofibrils that allows the open meshes to close with narrowed intersection angles between the amino acid nanofibrils. The alcohol molecules of the water-alcohol biphasic solvent preferably bind to the carboxyl groups on the amino acid surfaces thus limiting the growth along the side facets of the amino acid surfaces and promoting growth along the growth front producing a bifurcation in the amino acid biocrystal network.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for extracting tar aroma components from a cigarette butt and use of the tar aroma components in a cigarette. The method includes the following steps: (1) adding the cigarette butt to an extraction solvent, and carrying out ultrasound-assisted extraction to obtain an extraction solution; (2) centrifuging the extraction solution, and carrying out vacuum distillation on the supernatant to obtain a concentrated extractum; and (3) carrying out molecular distillation on the concentrated extractum, and collecting a light fraction of the molecular distillation to obtain the tar aroma components. In the present disclosure, the cigarette butt is used as a raw material, through the ultrasound-assisted extraction and separation by the molecular distillation to extract the tar, harmful substances in the tar are removed, and the aroma components are retained.
