    Abstract: A scalable medium access control (“MAC”) module is provided that avoids conflict resource reservation so that network performance does not degrade as the number of hops or nodes in a wireless network increases. The MAC also provides different access schemes for traffic with different quality of service (“QoS”) requirements such that QoS is guaranteed and network resources are efficiently utilized. Furthermore, the resource allocation scheme determines the routing path as resources is allocated for data traffice, thereby achieving more robust layer-2 routing at the MAC layer. Finally, the scalable MAC is compliant with both WiMedia MAC and IEEE 802.15.3 MAC.

The mixer may have no IF balun separate and distinct from tRF balun; may receive an input signal at RF port and generates output signal at IF port. The mixer may receive input signal at IF port and generate an output signal at the RF port, the output signal in either case being plus or minus the local oscillator signal. The double-balanced FET mixer may operate with IF frequencies down to DC.

    Abstract: This application discloses a method for an optical drive chip to control a light-emitting device and an optical drive chip thereof. A receiving unit of the optical drive chip obtains to-be-sent data, and transmits the to-be-sent data to an execution unit of the optical drive chip; and the execution unit converts the to-be-sent data into a drive signal according to a control parameter set, where the drive signal is used to control a light-emitting device to emit visible light. Because the optical drive chip converts the to-be-sent data into the drive signal according to the control parameter set so as to control the light-emitting device, rather than obtaining a single control parameter one by one to control the light-emitting device, no delay problem occurs in a process of controlling the light-emitting device by the optical drive chip. In addition, the to-be-sent data is encoded, which ensures data transmission reliability.
